Julio's? The last 3 times I've been in there, they had 3-4 cases of it sitting on the floor. And for good reason.

Armand makes some pretty special one off Blends that I would/have paid top dollar. This isn't one of them. Not worth the price. There is tons of it sitting around on the shelf cause it's freaking expensive. It's not THAT much better than the regular blend and you could get a 750 ML bottle of that for less than the Golden Blend. Worth trying and pretty good but not at that price.
A tick is a tick though I guess...

I would skip the store price and go to belgiuminabox, they have it for $15 along with alot of the other good 3F beers

At the end of the day, its what makes you happy. Sure for the money you can get more quantity of beer, but that feeling of "what if" doesnt go away. $26 in the grand scheme isn't huge, but I wouldn't make a habit of it personally.

for what its worth, I passed on it. I don't think I'd appreciate the difference between the OG-GB and the regular OG.

sad to say, but its 100 percent worth it. super duper good. i salute golden blend most because not only can it almost hold its own with the sour elites, but you can actually find it, and find it in a real store. touch golden blend, touche.

You can order beer from these websites and receive them in the US?

Yes. The beers come right to your door and are cheaper than buying at your local store. However, as you can imagine, shipping costs are super high, so you need to order a full box worth in order to make the price worth it. For Etre Gourmet, shipping is a flat 70 euros up to about 9-11 750s worth of weight.

78 Euro in Washington:slight_frown:. Still worth it though for beers that aren't available here.

EDIT: Looks like it's not currently available at Etre but BiaB has it for 12 Euro. When you tack on shipping it's more expensive than buying it in the store (22$) for me.

Chicago. I can't be more specific. A known gem but always has something I want. There are no more though.

Can someone explain to me why people are reluctant to call out stores for what they do, whether it's good or bad? I'm always curious as to why us consumers are so stingy with information. It seems to me it would help everyone to identify the good and bad stores, but people rarely name names. Why is that?

    LOL

I think if the situation was turned around, you would not speak up . . . .

Enelson is wise to not give up the store name...
If he did, 700 BA members would be calling the store today . . . before they even say hello, people would be screaming into the phone "heard you had golden blend for 18$,, Will you ship me some, brah, please brah""

Theres a reason they're called hidden gems...They're HIDDEN.

Don't think enelson was told by the general public where those bottles were, he took the time and effort to find them himself. Why should he just give all that up to a bunch of people he does not know and who will do nothing for him ??

How is purchasing beer "raiding" it, exactly? I mean, I get wanting to keep a store secret, but then don't mention that you went to a store and bought 8 bottles there and then say you won't tell us where. That's being kind of a dick.

And who cares about shitshows? We should know about shady owners and people who price too high. That's how the Internet ought to be empowering consumers.
