I usually pick up 2 4 packs of it...

I think I still have 6 left or something.. I think I have 2 from last year as well.

I honestly would choose this over KBS anyday and twice on Sundays...

I've always wanted to try it after someone told me it was similar to Narwhal. They said "like narwhal but better".
to get a little more insight,Anyone who's had both think these two are similar?

I have had both, Narwhal being awhile ago, and founders blew me away while Narhwal was good but not to the level of founders. I have two Narwhal's aging and I plan on aging 1 founders and see how they compare next year.

I was searching for Stone Espresso IRS and found a shop with a least 12 left. I noticed they still had quite a few FIS packs on the shelf. I had a lot of FIS over the winter already and wanted to try Stones Espresso so I bought 3. I almost stock piled the Stones Espresso but glad I didnt. It was great but when I went back to the shop I picked up 3 more packs of FIS and left the Stones Espresso on the shelf. FIS has set the bar for my taste and obviously many other BA members. Great flavor range and perfect balance...Cheers to FIS!

My favorite RIS. Imo better then breakfast stout and KBS. I just love it and wished that they had made this a regular over breakfast stout. Hopefully they will brew FIS for 6 months a year to replace breakfast stout.

This and Expedition are my two favorite non-BA imperial stouts, no question. Michigan whips. Honestly, I'd drink those two over most BA imperial stouts as well. I've gotta be in the mood for BA. No mood needed for FIS or Expedition. And ya know what else is great about them? You don't have to punch someone's grandma (fun as that may be) or spend an arm and a leg to get them. Imagine that.

FIS is a great beer! I really hope Founders does not start distributing to Cali unless Russian River starts distro here!

I love this beer, and actually had the forethought to put up a couple this year to enjoy next winter before its released again. Also put up some PT5...want to do a side by side. Fresh I think FIS wins in a landslide. But that's just me.

Awesome brew, however extremely out of place on a hot summer day in May to September like all Imperial Stouts are. Make this thread in 6 months and people will go nuts.

I probably have a 12 pack I'm saving. I bet I bought 2 and a half cases this year. First year that Founders has distributed to New Hampshire. FIS is my favorite Imperial Stout in N.H and Double Trouble is probably my favorite DIPA in N.H. Stouts that are in the same league Doris the Destroyer and Speed Way.
