I haven't been to Beer'd, but it's on my list.

I'm actually thinking about checking out Beer'd on Sunday. The scene is pretty much the same though. I live in Groton and usually go to Malted Barely in Westerly. Olio actually had a decent beer selection, last time I went for dinner. I believe I had a GI Matilda.

Wow ... Olio had awful beer selection last time I was there. Interesting. Not going to make it there this trip though.

Haha, yeah it definitely used to be awful and is now somewhat decent. They closed not long ago for an update/remodeling and changed up the food/drink menus.

Some of the locals seem to like it, and I only had 1 beer by them, but I thought it was terrible. It was an imperial stout that had very little taste and the body/mouthfeel of water with brown food coloring. I brought it to a Bottleshare at a buddy's house in VT and apologized.

I just had the Beer'd Whisker'd Wit at dinner. I thought it drank well for the style, obviously aided by eating outside in 80 degree early evening temps. I would have it again and would be curious what else they might offer. We we at Pizzetta in Mystic which had a half decent (certainly nothing special) craft list. A bunch of locals plus some other decent stuff. Nothing to wow though. Pizza was fine, better than Mystic Pizza for sure.

This is depressing to hear about Beer'd.

Just to revive this thread for people visiting the neighborhood.

Finally went to Beer'd today. They had on the Wit, Stout, double IPA, and Black Belgian IPA that they brewed simultaneously with Relic. All were enjoyable.

Also first time at Malted Barley tonight and definitely highly recommend a visit there if you are staying in the Mystic area. Great beer selection, excellent bartenders, solid pretzels ...
