Figured I would close out the trifecta tonight!

Enjoyed BB1 a bit more. More balanced and smooth. BB3 was great and doesn't need much age but I feel it could be much better in 3-6 months.

I do have 1 actually. I just wanted to hookup bcrossan with one without having to give up my only one, but I might just have to send it to him if I can't find one.

BB3 good beer, but there weren't enough roasted, burnt or chocolaty flavors to stand up to the whiskey flavor. If I want a boilermaker, I'll pour just my own, much cheaper.

Perhaps they need to add more roasted barley and black patent malt.

    You're welcome! Is that Galveston?

PS: Your glassware is dirty. I can see all those bubble sticking to the sides :stuck_out_tongue: Just giving you a hard time though. Do whatever you like! It's beer!

Ya it is Galveston. Great weekend with perfect weather. I have no doubt those glasses were probably a bit dirty lol. Heavy use that weekend...

I think I preferred the BB1 but they were awfully close. Just seemed a bit more balanced to me.

I had the trilogy a few weeks ago at the Flying Saucer Sugar Land. I had BB1 and BB3 side by side and I enjoyed the BB3 more. I thought BB1 was going to drink better, but that was not the case. BB3 was maltier and creamier, just as Saint Arnold intended it to be with their new yeast.

BB3 is at The Point Park and Eats in San Antonio. If you haven't been, it's in the Leon Springs area.

BBA Pumpkinator would be awesome. Curious how the spices would hold up.

We'll find out soon enough. But the barrels aren't bourbon.
