If you are looking for a trade, I have a few bottles available, and one of my local stores had a bunch left last time I looked a few days ago.... Just sayin....

I saw a bottle on the shelf at my store yesterday and passed on it in favor of some recent local releases. But based on this thread, I went back at lunch today and grabbed it. Cheers!

So what happens if you encounter a non-almond, non-chocolate dipped biscotti? Is it no longer a biscotti?

$14 for imperial biscotti all around Raleigh, $9.99 for naked lunch 12 oz., even more jesus is around for $15.

Falco, an IPA, came to town a few weeks back and it was very reasonably priced and I thought it was a really good beer, not great, but really good.

I actually prefer Evil Twin Lil B porter which I can now get in 4 pks, but both are great. Too expensive though for the bombers IMO.

Not completely sure about that, but some dilligent and scholarly research (ie Wiki) has lead me to the knowledge that almond-based dough is standard for these treats (ie biscotti).

Thanks for pointing out the egg on my face, I had no idea this was true!

Awesome beer. If that's the price, that's the price. Still cheaper than trading for it. You have the luxury of having access to it when others don't. DO IT!

Just copped one tonight! Look forward to pouring it down my throat, soon enough. However, tonight I had the Even More Jesus, which was really good. Probably wouldn't spend $10 for it again, but glad I tried it. I gave a little to my buddy, and he had the nerve to dump a shot of 12 year Glenmorangie Scotch in it... lol.

$10 for EMJ, I'm on it. It's just a bit more here in Raleigh.

    Dig IBB, and others mentioned.

Wooaaaah I often find I am in agreement with you but hafta take exception here.

I didn't taste the almond forward expected by you, but didn't expect to honestly. There was a hint of almond in there to be sure. And the chocolate represented, though you didn't taste it, it was more of a dark bitter than a sweet milk taste. And to me as it opened the roast of the malt just got crazy complexity to it that kept my mouth in a state of large flavor ecstasy. It was hardly boozy as its ABV could have made it, and went through the kind of changes as it warms that I find I love in exceptional beers. Add to this that it was thick to a degree most big stouts cannot achieve, and never became cloying, or presented a linger that was overly resinous or medicinal, and it was all I wanted and more in a huge beer.

OP, the point here is you need to make up your own mind on this beer as we all never will agree on if we like it or don't.

I didn't think it was very good. I also paid close to $20 for it and I had a few bottles. I ended up trading it after I opened the first bottle. It was too sweet for me and it wasn't very balanced.
