Cigar City Cucumber Saison

This guy put up a FT thread for two 32 oz growlers of RareR DOS which he said he filled himself at his growler shop in Georgia. This is impossible since Pegs had never released kegs of RareR to other bars let alone to Georgia. The thread disappeared when he was questioned about this. Seems fishy to me.

 

At least you know he can be trusted with MGroove as part of his username.

 

I offer a huge apology to mwgroove23. I am amazed to find out that some Rare and RareR did make it out of Peg's.

 

You also owe him a road trip to his growler shop because it's apparently fucking incredible haha

Its incredible how much this beer actually smells and tastes like cucumber. I dig it. (opinion based off previous experiences, as I have not had this batch).

 

I've been told that it tastes more like pickles than cucumbers.

 

I found that the Cucumber Saison is a wonderful pallet cleanser when doing tastings with big stouts. We used a bottle of last years during a bottle share I did with some buddies in Birmingham, it was great between Cognac Church on a Hill and AB Huna

 

Funny, someone told me that today.

 

Are these on shelves, or at the brewery only? Still available?

Eh, definitely not one to sit on... I found one around Xmas that I forgot that I had... The cucumber had started to fall off and was tasting more like cardboard than cucumber.
