Anyone near North 25th and Franklin Avenue (Franklin Park) want to go to Three Floyds or any other event today that I can pay for a ride? BM me. I promise to make it worthwhile. Unfortunately, the guy whose place I'm staying at had some things come up that are keeping him from driving out today. Trying to find my own way without paying an arm and a leg to rent a car, but that is proving more difficult than expected. :stuck_out_tongue:

Good luck getting to where you want to be....I'm an hour away, and have work in 5 hours, otherwise I might pick ya up and go to 3floyds.

    Hope you enjoy the city!

(I see you're from Cali, while Chicago is a LOT LOT LOT better than L.A. in terms of walking from point A to point B(its actually possible in Chicago).....To point out the obvious, its still nice to have a car. Taxis add up quick for one)

There's always the Do Division street festival. Good music. Only $5 to get in. And 6-7 really good beer bars in the couple block stretch, with even more close. Small bar. Jerry's. Fat pour (sometimes, though very douchey most times). Bangers & Lace is about a 12 minute walk. Plenty of good options if you can't make it to Munster.

If I had a car, I'd help ya out. But I'm wickout--it got stolen. Boo-urns.

Figured I'd stay local and hit half acre, pipeworks, and revolution today...if time and not to far from metro, maybe goose island. I think the German Fest many are at today is by half acre, right?
For sure going to Mancini's tomorrow and have ride for that. I brought enough to cover me and my ride. :-)
Assassin, BA decadence, BA old numbskull, KRE, alpine magnificent seven, and Framboise de Amarosa....need to save some for bottleshare in New York this next weekend, but will for sure open some good beers. :-)

Yea, the German Fest is about 1/2 mile from Half Acre, directly northwest along Lincoln Ave...you literally cannot miss it if you follow those directions.

Pipeworks doesn't have a store/taproom open to the public. Your best bet today is the Green Lady, southeast along Lincoln Ave., just before Belmont. They have several of their beers on tap.

If/when you visit revolution, aim for Map Room (great bar, no food & cash only) and/or Piece (brewpub, serves great pizza) afterwards.

Wish I could be there too.
PS. A block and a half southeast of Half Acre is Bottles and Cans, a pretty fantastic bottle (and can) shop. Also right along Lincoln Ave, on the same side of the road you're already on.

    Is everything on Lincoln? ;-p
Ok....so skipping the German thing and heading back since German thing is done (my beer snob side kicked in and said no to hefeweizens).
Passing half acre again to green lady?
Anyone free today to hang out? You have my contact info. :-)

So, you're not making the 12:30 share, but rather having a seperate one?
If I'm in good enough form, I'll try to make it to both.
