Just came across a 2007 vintage three philosophers. Anyone have any experience aging this beer? Any thoughts how it will taste? Opening it soon since I can't stand the suspense!

Aged a 2010 until last year. It was OK, not that much of a difference noted IMO. But hey it may just blow you away. Let us know!

Was there a "best by" date on the bottle? Not sure they did that back then. Today, they put a best by date of approximately 5 years out from bottling.

I had a 2007 about a year ago and it was still drinking really well.

There is a place for it, but the stamp seems to be faded beyond recognition

Good to know! What's was the serving temp?

Slightly warmer than fridge... I refrigerated and then let it warm up a little bit before drinking. I feel like it was smoother and the cherry flavor had developed a little more.

I like this beer with 1.5 to 3 years on it. I have drank fair bit of 2011 bottles with said age on it, and I much prefer them to fresh ones.
