Ahhh yes. Rapture was great! Aging the second bottle now, should hold up quite well and excited to give it a go. LP Kriek - expect it to be a sour blast, whereas Rapture, IMO, struck me as more of a Flanders Oud Bruin/AWA hybrid...with balsamic notes from the FOB side. Cantillon definitely pegs out the sour scale with good funk. I think you'll be hooked.

Well if I get hooked I'll have to go to Belgium lol. Can't get that stuff here very often. Idk how my shop randomly got a case, and if it wasn't for another BA I never would've known about it.

Now I just gotta figure out an occasion to open it. It should be good anytime it's from 09 after all.

Going to Belgium is always the best option! No need to rush opening that bottle...lambics age extremely well. Congrats and enjoy!

I would def open that sooner rather than later so you know what its like fresh. I had an 09 about 2 weeks ago and the fruit is pretty subtle in the taste already. Def has an amazing nose though like fresh cherry pie and some nice funk to it while keeping the sourness pretty mild. Now if you had a couple botlles I would say drink one and age one but if your fairly new to sours specially cantillons then drink fresh.

Tell me more about the Total Wine growler. Do they fill growlers at some locations?

Small hands? Idk it does look a little large, but just a 750. I wish it was like a 3L monster.

It's a 32oz of Mexican Cake from SC. From what I was told via BM they do growlers there...we only have Binny's around here and stores can't do growler fills in IL so my knowledge is pretty limited.

Its not in Anaheim. A few bottles of Beatification had a lot to do with what I walked out of there with.

    Cheers.

A huge thanks to Abel (abecall98), Nicholas, and a generous Texas Trader for today's beer haul. Not pictured is an amazing bag of beef jerky from the CA boys that is already half gone. Cheers!
