Yeah that was a bit of a mystery for me too. I expected 003 to be in the barrels for much longer compared to 005. Apparently this wasn't the case however.

 

Looks like I met you last night, unless someone else asked him the exact same question.

He said Hop Delusion will also be bottled soon, not sure if he said end of this week or next.

Volunteered at the brewery monday night - they had it on tap for the tour. Got to have a couple of glasses... it is delicious, a great Imperial IPA.

I didn't ask them about when they were releasing it in bottles, but they had a custom karbach tap handle for it, so it looks like they are getting ready for it soon... gonna volunteer again the weekend after next, maybe I'll remember to ask then if it's not out yet...

 

Hop delusion can't wait!

I finally got a pint of Hop Delusion and it is fantastic! Last week, SL Saucer gave me the dregs from the bottom of the barrel and tried to convince me it would be ok. It was gross and had to have them take it away. Had me concerned about what this brew was really gonna be like.

So, after having this one, I have to change my comparative rating for top TX IIPAs. This is how I now see it:
Hop Delusion > SS Pro AM/Valkyrie > Endeavor.

Hopefully, the reports from Petrol about Valkyrie are just result of crappy tap lines.

 

Anyone else hate Love Street? Smells like burnt hair. Tastes just as bad if not worse. Seriously, a kolsch? Doesn't taste like any good German kolsch I've ever had. For anyone who is loving on this, please do a blind side-by-side tasting of this and Sunner Kolsch. Report back.

 

This one has been confusing to me. I've had it at the brewery as a test batch on tour and at the brewery since its release and have thought it was great. I think it tastes and smells completely different (in a bad way) from a can, whether poured into a can or straight from it compared to at the brewery.

 

My gf said the same thing about the negative influence the can has. Though I still found it refreshing the smell wasn't all too appealing

 

Is there a date for when hop delusion is being released in bottles?

Hopefully someone in Houston will swap me some Hop Delusion for some ABW Heavy Machinery(or something). I would like 3(2 for trades) if possible. I got a growler of this a couple of weeks ago and LOVED it.

By far the most exciting IIPA release in Houston (or Texas actually) for me.

 

I haven't tried it, but I'm very, very excited about this release!! I'll get at least 4, if possible. FYI, on facebook Karbach said the distribution and quantity would be similar to Yule, Pontificator, Hellfighter

 

Aaaaaaaaaaand we have Roll in the Hay label approval. Kegs and bombers.

 

any joints in Houston still have Delusion on tap? looking forward to the bottles since ive been out of town on business andhave missed most of the draught options
