Does anyone know if Two Roads posts a list of what is currently on draft in their tap room? I like most of what I have had from them and may be in the area this weekend.

Has anyone filled growler's that weren't Two Roads at the brewery? I was looking for information on what they had available for growlers and saw this:

Is this true? If so, they can just go ahead and fuck off

Yes, it's true - I heard a bartender provide this answer almost verbatim. I didn't get a chance to see what kind of stickers they use, though. Some come off easily, some will deface your growler for ever. I've still got 2-year-old Weyerbacher residue on one of my nice German-style swingtop growlers.

Regardless, it's definitely lame of them to insist on it, as there's no legal requirement at all. I won't be filling any growlers there any time soon, that's for sure.

Well, fuck that then, I'm not defacing my NEBCO or Victory growlers just because they feel the desperate desire to get their name out there.

Yes, they do put a sticker on. It's pretty big 5"x5"ish square sticker and then they write what's in it on the border with a sharpie. I washed it off pretty easily by scrubbing with a sponge and warm water and then a little soap and was able to remove any sticky reside but it's kind of a pain in the ass and I'd imagine there's a good chance it'd ruin any logo that was screen printed on the growler. I really don't understand the point of it if it's not legally required, a hang tag would be much more convenient.

But a hang tag wouldn't be able to block out a competitor's logo as effectively as a big ass sticker.

Not cool, Two Roads. Not cool.

Yea it's a pretty tacky way to advertise if that's their intent. I don't know if it's worth annoying your current customers to try and advertise to new ones. I wouldn't have been thrilled if I had brought one of my new NEBCO growlers and they slapped that sticker on it, especially since the bartender just said "if you want this filled we have to put a sticker on it, is that ok?" and I had no idea it would be that huge. Just make good beer and more than enough people will find out about you.

I definitely encourage people to send them an email at [email protected] to let them know this sort of policy is tacky bullshit.
