50/50 Eclipse futures announced (2012)

You don't have to be from California to pick up/mule beers. Reno BA's are closer than 98% of the CA people that attend the party.

In fact, Truckee's high school competes in Nevada's high school state championships, not California.

So based on that fact, I'm hereby declaring FiftyFifty is a Nevada brewery. And the champion brewery of Nevada.

Send me a bottle shipper with a beer in it and a return shipping slip, and your Eclipse will be taken care of (and tell FiftyFifty I'm yr conduit for the beer).

This is the first release I'm actually making a conscious effort not to spend $$$ before the presale. Staying home this weekend hoping to save some $$$$ (soooo tempted to go up to Cascade for some Bourbonic Vanilla, but willpower wins. . ., do a little fishing, shooting, grill some steaks, drink some beers, watch the UFC fights tomorrow night, tailgate & check out the Nevada/Louisiana Tech baseball game on Sunday, call it a staycation weekend).

I'm going 3x each bottle. And then I usually add 1 more of each at the party.

No brandy Eclipse? That was my favorite one! Ah well, I understand, I think it was everyone else's least favorite. . .

 

This is very true. I may need a mule...Truckee is too far for me to drive to. Just kidding! But I am definitely looking forward to this year's batch. I am probably going with 3 of each as well. And then hopefully I can save up some more money for those 3Liters again.

 

You gotta make it out when we open a 3L BART/EC . . . I'm thinking March Madness 2014 or 2015!

San Jose for the next couple weeks, and then moving back to the Roseville area (...which is about two hours from Reno). I would love to be there for that opening. Just keep me up to date on that! I may even bring my 3L EC18. Do you have the 3L of the EC12 or 18?

I have to say, I may have to go next March. WOW! That's one insane bottle share. I will try my hardest to bring something good.

I'm on the fence.. just had my first bottle of Eclipse on Easter (Elijah Craig 12 year barrel) and loved it; just not sure how to make it happen from Illinois. We do get some Eclipse distribution in the Chicago area, so I might hold out for that.

 

What's everyone ordering?

 

I'm thinking three of each. This seems like a beer worth spending some $ on!

 

Will probably do the exact same but get a 4th rittenhouse rye because I love that version

 

I'm a bit torn. I'm not a fan of Rebel Yell...ranks right around Fighting **** in terms of whiskey for me (which means...the whiskey I drank when I didn't care what it tasted like).
But then again....it will be the hardest to get if I find out later it was awesome. Feel about the same for Bernheim. Might just have to stock up on what I know will be good.

Yeah, emails was a better system, bit chaotic, but the site is down. Not surprisingly, yet another brewery, or company that hosts their server, under estimating the huge spike in traffic from an online sale. Comical.

 

Anyone else having problems with the website??
