You get the samples whenever you want them. There are stations set up and you just bring your card, get whatever sample you want, then chill. Tours are every hour on the half hour, but you can linger the whole time from 1-4 if you want (usually how I do it). Stanley's sells great pizza, but during the busy times the wait can be long, so I'd order my pizza early if I were you. Stanley's also sell bottles to go - last week they had BB3 for $6!

Plus my fiancé told me I cant buy any more beer until the wedding. Looks like Im stuck to trading for a few weeks.

Just cracked my first bottle of Salt Lick and it is divine. Gushed even after days in the refrigerator. Made me look up the scores and I can't believe it is in the 80's. I would love to try an unsmoked version.

Anyone in ATX seen Funk Metal around town lately? Need one for a trade. My local FM well finally dried up it seems.

 

I haven't been to Bee Caves lately, but that'd probably be the first place I'd check. Bastrop Spec's might be worth a shot, too.

 

I picked one up at King Liquor on Burnet the other day...

 

I went to Bee Cave last week and there were two JK FM at one of the five stores I went to...I think it was Spec's.

 

So I was just in Cali and I realized two things. Beer is fucking expensive out there and Texans are crazy about beer.
I went into Hollingshead in Orange and the shit that was on the shelves was amazing. It wouldn't last 30 minutes in Texas. They had Supplication just sitting on the shelf. Nobody standing in line for it, no limits, no nothing. Crazy right?
Then it made me realize how far behind Texas is in the beer scene. Don't get me wrong, I love how far we've come in just the last few months, but man there is some awesome beer just chilling on the shelf.
On the other hand, I'd be broke and divorced if I lived in Cali. The beer ain't cheap. Or at least the beers I like, which makes me appreciate being able to buy a 750ml bottle of JK for $15 or Freetail 22oz for $11 as opposed to $13 for a 350ml bottle of Supplication.

 

If you could buy supplication all the time, you wouldn't either. Great beer, but they make enough for demand. It's like black metal or something... Enough for demand.

 

Thanks for the leads fellas. Since I'm north, I'll try Kings. I'll be at JK Sat so they may have some, or I'll try Bee Caves while I'm out there.
