Am now sitting here grilling a beer can chicken that was injected with LB oatmeal stout, sitting atop a washed out millwaukees best can filled with oatmeal stout. I was drinking a Great Divide Samurai and this beer is wonderful, tasty, low in alcohol, and perfect for summer. I wish they would can this beer and package it in six pack cans, which would be great for taking out to the lake. I am wondering if there are any more beers out there that people wish they would can and what those beers are. Would love to hear back what everyone's summertime good beers are and Great Divide if you are out there please can this beer.

Hate all you want, but Pilsner Urquell. Maybe canning it would prevent some of the skunk. ....but then again I kinda like it with a little bit'a skunk

Although it will never happen, I love both Founders "All day IPA", and Shorts "Prolonged Enjoyment" and would LOVE to see them canned. Again, will never happen though...

I'd be all in favor of canning this one.

    They do.

"Pilsner Urquell is more strongly hopped than most pilsner beers. Saaz hops, a noble hop variety, are a key element in its flavour profile, as are the use of soft water[2] and fire-brewing.[3] It is available in a 330 ml (third of a litre), as well as 12oz {355ml}, and a 500ml (half litre) in both aluminium cans and green bottles."

That's awesome news. It was only a matter of time after the other heavy hitter (Sierrra Nevada) canned. They used to have commercials glorifying the fact they never used bottles, which at the time made sense. For the most party only BMC was in cans then.

He was on AAF yesterday. Got that exact question. Spun the crap about trying to perfect the can (because he tastes metal or some such) and said within a year it should be a go. I was excited about it.

I'm also excited about it. I think Boston Lager and Noble Pils are perfect for cans.

Uinta Sum'r would do nicely. I mean, anything pilsnery, blonde-y would be cool in a can; avoid any "no glass on the beach".

Agreed. Pilsner Urquell is what I used to drink when I was a baby.

I'd be game for that.. I like beer can chicken and have trouble grabbing from my stash to figure what I wanted to use. DFH Indian Brown Ale is my go to.

Why limit it to 5.5%? Cans got a bad rap in the past but not the case any more.
