They had a lineup of beers that they will at Guu's Saturday. Bourbon Barrel Slainte, La Petit Mort, Broken Window. They made a Lac Du Bay IPA draft only batch and 1414 will be served at 7:00.

    Should be a great time.

I just called and asked - they are waiting on label approval and it will probably be ready next month. They said it will be hitting distribution. I didn't ask exatly where though.

Anyone have an update on this release? I had the BA Slainte at the brew pub in October and loved it. I'm anxiously waiting for this one!

I have yet to be dissapointed with any CW products even the infected peruvian morning was drinkable to the extent of a funky stout. Hopefully their BA Scotch ale lives up to its predescessors and holds that bourbon goodness in 12oz form so I can double dose to the dome!

I talked to a rep from central waters a few weeks ago and he said beginning of June, so it should be pretty soon.

La Petite Mort is flowing heavily now and it is glorious. I need more CW barrel aged beers.

Its worth noting that the CW BBA stouts are one of the best examples of a brewers year round stout being BBAed that I've had. So I think its hard to compare it with stouts made specifically for BBAing but we know CW can do that pretty well to just see 1414 and 15.

FYI - I just checked in with CW and the feds have still not approved their label. They expect it to be approved within a couple of days, and then it will still be 3-4 weeks before it is ready.

Does anyone have any additional information about this release? I keep hearing its coming soon, its coming soon but I'm itching to get my hands on some. Will this hit distribution or be local/brewpub only? Did the label get approval?

If you're not finding the info you're looking for here, you could always call Central Waters at 715-824-2739, or ask them on Facebook. They are pretty responsive.

If Central Waters could give their Bourbon Barrel Stout and Peruvian Morning the same mouthfeel that they manage with 1414/Fifteen...they'd be amazing. They're just too thin for me.
