What's this shit about people going through twice?????????

I heard a bunch of people went through more than once. And I'm sure more that one person had a mule there. I hope everyone who has more than 4 bottles is happy knowing they screwed over another BA from even getting to try this, so they could have a bunch of a beer with no trade value.

I won't even be getting to taste it...

Throw them in your garage, I'll get them from you another day. When I left they still had beer in them.

Oh great! I'll get my 1oz sample and everything will be all hunky dory....

Yeah, sorry, but I'm a little sore about people pulling this stuff and screwing over other BA's. That shouldn't be the way things go down. I guess there isn't any brotherhood like I thought there was.

It was well run. I didn't think I was going to get down, but I managed to swing by in time. With only 700 bottles, it isn't surprising it sold out after an hour no matter how many people were going through twice. I don't think this was more than a few people anyway.

Brandon has already offered one up, I'm sure if you ask around instead of getting all worked up you can snag a bottle or two for reasonable trades or cash.

I know of one guy that did the rounds twice, way I figure by the time he did it everybody that was there before 6 made their way though. It's a limited release, if you didn't show up earlier you didn't want it that bad. I took time off work to get there because I knew my trading partners wanted some. Those extra bottles he got? trading them away to other BAs. Its not like he flushed them.

My hat's off to ST, was really well ran. Was nice to be able to share some with others. Was happy to see some old friends, was nice to share the one's that were shared. Had no issue offering one of my four to the masses, was very well worth it. Cheersya MN BA's, just a helpful hint, when you come to a release, at least have a glass in your car. Dan wont always have solo cups available.

Had a great time seeing all you guys. Brandon thanks for cracking a bottle and nice to meet some new BA's as well. Great job Steel Toe.

PS I really was first in line

People generally care about themselves first, others second. There are some exceptions, but don't think the average ba on here gives a shit about you getting a limited release, because they don't.

that is absolutely false. I threw out a line for a bottle and got responses, some from those I've never met. I myself feel more obligated to spread the wealth than take for myself. I would even rather make sure local BAs get taken care of before grabbing some to reward generous traders. I won't use the K word, but good BAs appreciate other good BAs, and I will continue to look out for them.

Line was longer than I expected when I got at 5:30, I believe over half was gone before 6 when I made it through the line. I decided to only get one bottle. Little disappointed to hear people when through twice, the brewery sets the limit so locals can enjoy the beer not so it can be traded but maybe that's just my opinion.

Notice the word "average." there are some awesome BAs, no doubt. But the average BA cares about one person, their self.

I guess you and I have a different vision of the average BA. No doubt, your description fits the average person, or even the average beer drinker, but I hold myself to a higher (and NOT more entitled) standard of camaraderie and pay-it-forwardness, and I would say I am an average BA.

Yeah, I'd have to heartily disagree. After meeting so many insanely generous BAs who are willing to share world-class beers from their cellars, sometimes with people they met 8 minutes ago, well, just no. Maybe you just need to hang out with different people!

I dont think I'm an average BA, because for one....
there were a lot of people that came, and honestly just wanted to get their beer and leave, which is ok, but as good BA's, stop and stay awhile. I know life gets in the way, I know things happen, but be prepared to stop and enjoy a release.
I give a cheers to everyone who hung out at the truck and enjoyed beers. It was nice to pull guys in who wasnt expecting generousity that I hope saw how a good BA should be... welcoming and able to offer someone with whom they never met before and offer any beer available.
but those who got there after 5:15when the line actually formed(yeah, it started at the truck (open beer and people having fun will attract people)) but at 5:15 I was the guy who said "START FILLING IN THE GAPS" and that's when people started to get in line. So the old addage "Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail" might come in to play.
