Albany BevMo had it in today... $7.99 iirc. I didn't buy any, but I plan to go back to get some, hopefully for this weekend. Presumably it came in on Thursday.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to do just that.

Valley Beverage got it this week, along with other stores in the SFV.

I never thought I'd say this but BevMo for the win. And on sale too!

I had this on draft at whole foods hb today. Loved it for a pilsner, but I didn't get any hoppy notes. I was curious though as to why the hype?

Session beers are the new barrel aged? It's a well crafted pils, definitely.

Just picked up a six at Taylor's in Sac. They have Stone Enjoy By, too, btw.

Same here, I was expecting this to be hoppier but also this is dated 5/09 and i just opened this up (6/09) I wonder if this is just a lil to old. Either way its not to bad, but just wanted more character out of it.

Well I haven't had this most recent batch but...

Because there just aren't any really good local pilsners.

Road to Helles when it's around is about the only thing that comes to mind (and it's not, strictly speaking, a Pilsner, but fairly aggressively hopped for a Helles). Otherwise it's Noble Pils or Prima Pils (dated, thankfully, to keep an eye on freshness). Otherwise the two most readily available pilsners are crap (Lagunitas and Oskar Blues predominate). Pivo Pils might not quite be on Prima Pils or Reality Czech's level, but it's a damn solid pilsner from a great brewery for when one is in want of such a thing.

I'd not that Trumer Pils has made its way down, again, and if fresh / on tap is also a fine alternative, but the green bottle situation means that I'll rarely, if ever, chance a six pack.
