It's been $14.99 most places for me so I was happy to see the lower price.

Oakshire Overcast Espresso Stout is better than both FBS and WNB. Do they distro to California?

    Interesting.

It's a damn good beer, I keep them in the fridge year round just about.

I"m waiting for them to barrel age it sooner than later.......

Still a FBS fanboy, but WNB definitely gives it a run for its money. Definitely my favorite Terrapin beer.

I love both but there is something about the wake n bake (and I helped) that makes it more complex for me. Maybe it's that the oatmeal is more oatmealy? To each their own opinion, but my opinion is the only correct one lol

Riiiiiiiiight... I am with the general consensus that FBS wins. But we'll let you think your right, that's ok. :stuck_out_tongue:

Apparently they are doing French Toast WNB this year. Not sure if that will involve barrels or not. Maybe some cinnamon though? Who knows. Either way, I want it!

They are also doing White Chocolate Moo Hoo.

I didn't read the whole thread so this might have already been mentioned, but D's has a bunch of Wake n Bake in the shelf at least as of last week.

I'd bet that Pitts Doggn It in Shadyside (might not be exactly correct store name) also has it.

I had a barrel aged moo hoo I think floating around. They have stated that they are going to be getting into barrel aging now that they have a bit more room. I'm hoping it's sooner than later, and I know if they do barrel age, it'll probably be draft only for the time being. If they bottled it, it would be spread thin... I'd love for them to do barrel aged Moo hoo or WnB and make it GA exclusive for the first time around.. Instead of just the Golden Ale being GA only.

    Welcome to the internet.

And yes, that is a popularly shared opinion.

Cracked another W&B last night, at an outdoor music event. It was 98 degrees, I was sweating profusely, and it was still a go-to for me, conditions be damned. My 2nd favorite coffee stout (after Austin Beerworks Sputnik, which is tap only)

Wake and Bake is one of my all time favorite beers, so it is nice to see this. But just curious as to how you came across this info? You are making it sound like it was chosen and that there is a process, but what it looks like to me is that the list probably refreshes on this site either daily or weekly and as soon as a beer passes 2000 reviews on this site, if the beer is 4.08 (going by the current list, today) or higher, then it just automatically loads to this list. So that before Wake and Bake had surpassed 2000 reviews, then there was probably another beer at #100 with a 4.08 (or 4.07) rating that was just a hair below Chimay Triple in the logic for the list.

If this is as automated as it appears to be, then if you really want to know what is up next, you could go to some of the big hype styles like IPA, IIPA and Imperial Stouts and then sort the lists by number of reviews and scroll down to where reviews fall closest to (but less than) 2000 reviews AND have a rating >4.08. So doing that, I come up with the following handful of beers as being the next ones likely to hit the HOF list on here and they would be bumping off beers like Chimay Triple, Hop Wallop, Dogfish Head's India Brown and Storm King...

    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/140/42533
    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3818/28577
    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/158/42723
    http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/396/3916

Of course, that may not be the exact list of the next 4 beers to enter the list, because some have quite a few reviews to go and something else may spike in popularity in the meantime and you never know when a slew of less than favorable reviews may come up and then sink it below the current 4.08 threshold. There is also the chance that there is an outlier beer or two in some other style(s) that are right near 2000 reviews with a >4.08 rating. I just did this for fun, but if somebody was so inclined, it would be pretty easy to see what beers are close and if the number of reviews is close enough, some local fan movement could easily push a beer into the list.
