Per Riley's Wine tweet in Madison, the next Thumbprint series will be coming out next month. It is Wild Sour Ale; a style of Sour Brown Ale. Shipment starts July 8th. Excited or what?

Just came here to post this. New Glarus is killing it so far with their TP series in 2013.

I'll take a case please and being that it's New Glarus, that will run me about what, 55 bucks. Now that I think of it, I might pick-up two because I am from chicago and to quote Mark Henry, "thats what we do."

The description on the flyer above is very similar to what's on NG's website for the old Unplugged Sour Brown Ale. Coincidence?

Maybe it's like college football, if you're going to have a lousy effort make sure it is early on and everyone will forget about it.

Soooo... will it be like Enigma? R&D? Something new?

I wonder how similar the recipes are for these sour brown wild beers New Glarus does. It would be interesting to know if they keep a similar recipe but the wild yeast makes it such a different beer they don't keep a consistent name.
