Heading down there to visit during 4th July weekend. Can't wait!

As for SoCal, I'd say Beachwood

You are living high on the hog... I have to drive (60 miles minimum) to get the good stuff in Oklahoma & a mere 40 to get to Mizzou goodness ( Stones, Bells, Founders, Grand Teton, Odell & LaGunitas, plus Schlaflys & Mothers).

Hard to say. A lot of the exciting stuff in Wisconsin is coming out of established breweries, so it's hard to pick an up and comer. New Glarus is varying their lineup about as frequently as any neighborhood microbrewery. Central Waters is barrel aging with the best of them.

In terms of real up and comers, Karben4 here in Madison has been making a lot of noise, but their production is still pretty small, only servicing places here in town. Ale Asylum is making moves too. They're hit or miss, but when they're on, THEY ARE ON.

Damn... I stand corrected ( happens all the the time ). My head just exploded since all the ones I've tried for the most part seem to need much care & feeding throughout the process as opposed to you garden variety IPAs & Lagers.

Choc is really the only other brewer that has similar issues ( although they tend to stick with their tried & true stuff, which I like for the most part ). Keep on keeping on Chase!

Community Beer Works out of Buffalo, NY. Their "The IPA" is outstanding and constantly places in top 3 in blind ipa taste testings all around buffalo.

Fremont would be choice from Washington. Large enough capacity to make a dent outside WA, and they have been getting better every year. I see no signs of slowing down either.

Peekskill Brewery in NY has been on my radar for a while now. I've heard nothing but great things and want to check them out the next chance I get. Can't forget Crossroads, Sloop, Rushing Duck.. A lot of good things happening in NY lately it seems.

DC Brau, simply because they're so awesome. I'm also nominating Bluejacket based on pure potential.

Tired Hands Brewing Company. I have no doubt in my heart of hearts that Jean is the best brewer in the world, right now. I hope the terroir theory stays the same and never expands due to greed.

Cutters Brewing here in Indiana. They went from having their wives deliver kegs to a few local restaurants on the back of trucks to keeping up a wide number of accounts throughout the state only two years later. Not only that, but the quality of their brews is just absolutely superb.

I agree O'so puts out some interesting and good beers, Lupin Maximus comes to behind, also Lucette in Menomonie WI, is growing and puts out some really good stuff, traditional American style beers, as well as some pretty good Belgian styles. They just started canning and bottling a lot of their beers.
