Saw both at Euston Tap when I was there, but the BBF beers I've had have been at best mediocre (milk stout), at worst vomit inducing (the christmas one, Bristoltoe or something).

Thanks for the feedback! For the list of breweries to seek out, I tried to keep it a short list of great breweries that are widely available in London that a visitor might not be familiar with. Arbor would be a good addition. Most of the others suggested aren't as easy to find in London.

Do people think it'd be useful to add a section that lists some of the bigger stations along with the nearest place to get a good beer? Something like:
    -King's Cross/St. Pancras - Sourced Market
-London Bridge - Utobeer, The Rake
    -Euston Square - Euston Tap
    -Stratford - Tap East

Adding what sort of stuff is commonly found there too maybe?
Paddington - The Beer House (Meantime, Brewdog), The Mad Bishop and Bear (Fullers + Fullers bottles, merch)
Also in many stations - Whistlestop shops (Hogs Back bottles)

Adding beer to train station bars is a little over kill on the info front.

Let's face it people don't go to station bars for a session, just to kill 30 minutes prior to a train so will take whatever is available.

Keep it fairly plain and simple I say.

I'd include Sourced in the bottle shops if for no other reason it's a 30 second walk from the Eurostar terminal to Belgium.

Yeah good call. Most tourists probably won't be spending too much time in train stations so probably best to leave that info out. Visitors can still post and ask for more specific recommendations if they want.

That's not my experience at all. They seem to be semi-permanently on tap at many of the places I drink (Craft, Cask, Stormbird). Lots of places carrying bottles at the moment as well.

True but then again a lot of the time people are stuck in stations for a while waiting for trains, and as they're here they're probably on a beer holiday so can grab a quick beer while they wait. It's only like 4 lines of text, might as well stick it in there.

Plus drinking as a part of travelling is something that needs to be brought back.

Ok, I went ahead and posted a new thread: http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/london-beer-recommendations-for-visitors.96473/. I made a few small tweaks, but I'm wary to add too much more for now to prevent it from being overwhelming. I'd like to see how it's received, and if it becomes apparent from comments/questions from visitors that some additional info would be helpful, I'll add some more to it. I'll also update it as places and breweries open/change.

Seems nice and concise. The beauty of this being a forum post is that questions are always easily asked and answers though!

Great effort. Now all that remains is to count down the hours until someone starts a new 'Where to go in London' thread
