Denali Brewing of Talkeetna, Alaska (http://denalibrewingcompany.com) just came out with their cans; Single Engine Red, Twister Creek I.P.A. and their Mother Ale alongside their in-brewery avante-garde bottles, most recently Saison Le Coq & Bomb Barrel Ale and are really ramping-up local sales and community involvement...

A CT native, I had hopes for BACK EAST BREWERY, but, according to our bar's drinkers, the new upcoming beers are coming from TWO ROADS BREWERY.

Nevada- Joseph James is going through an expansion currently and a complete overhaul. In the past their beer has been well mostly bad. They have new brewers and new beers. Once the expansion is completed their Citra Rye Pale should be getting canned and give locals/tourists a great hoppy option in Vegas.

I really feel like it is going to be Greenbush. Reasons why:

    They have very good beer
Shorts wont distribute out of MI
Founders & Bells are already huge

Yea, that's a great IPA. It was blowing peoples' minds at the Asheville Rare and Wild Beer Tasting a few weeks ago.

Psychopathy from Madtree can hold its own against some of the best ipa's out there!

Definitely Prairie in OK. Although, Coop makes some pretty good stuff as well.. The Prairie Bomb is out of this world.

Is that you Monty? I know nobody who even likes their beer.

Flat 12 has been around a little while (not really an up and comer) and makes the best beer in the state not called Three Floyds.

As some others have said Daredevil is awesome and truly an up and comer.

Around the country I'm going with:

    KY - Against The Grain
    TX - Freetail
    NJ - Kane
    MI - Oddsides
    SC - Westbrook
IL - Want to say Half Acre but I'm not sure how long they have been around.

Sun King is currently the 2nd largest brewery in IN behind 3F. And deservedly so. I guess in my mind they have past the barrier of 'up and comer' because of this. On a similar note, no one has mentioned Upland... there, mentioned.

Most of these have been mentioned but:

    NJ - Kane, Carton
PA - Tired Hands, Naked, Neshaminy Creek, ShawneeCraft

Maumee Bay up in Toledo has some really solid beers on their line-up. Also Jackie-O's out of Athens, OH is really good.

love 'em, but I'd say they already came up.

My vote for MN: Steel Toe and Indeed.

I laughed at the Cutters mention. Sorry guys, but it isn't working right now. Agreed on Flat12 consistent beers and crazy creativity outside their core lineup.

The guys at Against the Grain are pushing IN/KY/TN/OH to be more creative. Plus, their pub has fantastic food.

Half Acre just celebrated 5 years and are pretty established around Chicago. Destihl is expanding and their barrel program is incredible. Solemn Oath has been open 13 months and is killing it right now. Pipeworks demand is crazy too for a nano.

We agree on our two up and comers, but your statements are odd.

Indeed isn't even a year old and they have already canned two flagships and one seasonal, plus they've had two other seasonal/rotators in bottles. I see them on tap all over the place, even at non craft beer places like 7th Street Entry. And playing it safe? A sweet potato beer, a beer made with sunflower honey, lavender and dates, an IPA with three new school hops, a rum barrel RIS...how are they playing it safe? I love Steel Toe but their offerings aren't mold breakers. Both are clear up and coming stars.

You make some good points about Indeed. While I did not like LSD, it was out there. Sweet Yamma Jamma was great and hit pretty early on. I love Let It Ride, but it confuses me because it is so damn close to Furious (but they use different hops), and Fury costs less in smaller packaging. What Rum Barrell RIS? How the hell did I miss that?

I really like everything Indeed puts out, but prefer Steel Toes flagships I guess (too bad they are still working through large format packaging).

For me, MNB is bit of a letdown thus far. I'm MUCH more excited for Mazurt and Orpheus to begin production. They offer the creativity I crave.

I'm too lazy to look through the other pages to see if someone brought this up, but you do know you can find Central Waters around the metro?
