Hoptimum is quite piney too. I really like it. I want to pick up some Torpedo, but I tend to believe that it will be pretty tame in comparison with Hoptimum. Hoptimum is quite unique. It has over 100 IBUs. There was a time that I couldn't imagine drinking something that bitter. I thought I was doing well when I drank Sixpoint Sweet Action Ale (68 IBUs). But I tried Hoptimum and enjoyed it. I actually made a beer run to my beer store store today but they were out of Torpedo. They will be getting a shipment in tomorrow.

What do you like about Torpedo?

Like you said 2 posts up, Torpedo would not compare to Hoptimum as a 100+ IBU DIPA, but I think that Torpedo can hold its own against any IPA. It has a tremendous hop flavor (which I like) but is still balanced (different from Hoptimum) it has a bit of creaminess that works well too, also a beautiful aroma.

Good job. But I will say that I think Hoptimum is pretty balanced.

Samuel Smith's Oatmeal stout. I used to be my favorite beer, but these days I seem to always overlook it in favor of stronger, bigger beers.
Weihenstephaner (all of them.) This is one of the best breweries in the world, but once again I'm always ignoring them for the next best thing in craft beer.

If you think Hoptimum is balanced, then just what beer do you find to be too far to the bitter end of the spectrum? I enjoyed Hoptimum, but it's pretty damn bitter.

    Hahah thanks :sunglasses:

But yeah its definitely worth trying, especially considering the price point and that it is in cans.

North Coast Pranqster. Old Raputin too, but that one gets at least a little love on here. Both OUTSTANDING representations of their styles, well priced, and widely available.

I constantly take my 3 cases of Sam Adams Millenium for granted

But in honesty Hop Stoopid. I hardly ever get it but every time I do I like it more than the high priced bombers I usually purchase over HS

Available at damn near every grocery store in Ohio and I RARELY buy it anymore. It's a shame because it remains the best Porter I've ever had.

Bell's Two Hearted. Months will go by before I grab some and every single time I sit in awe wondering why I don't always have it in my fridge. Such a great beer but somehow I seem to "forget" about it.

All good beers you guys have here! Agree with a lot. My buddy just brought over a 4 pack of 90 minute and a Hop Stoopid. After having both of them for the first time in a long while, wow, taken for granted. GREAT stuff.

Easily, Rochefort 10. If it was "rarer", it would ranked in the top 3.

Sixpoint Resin and Sixpoint Crisp. Sixpoint features good hop presence but, unfortunately, without much balancing malt sweetness.

Abt 12! - HELL YEAH!
