Lagunitas lil sumpin sumpin ale. Great beer that is always available until a couple month stretch where I couldn't find it anywhere, that made me realize how much I liked it

SA Boston Lager. May no longer be the case do to increased interest in craft beer, but for many years it was a fond friend on a menu of mediocrity. My savior on more occasions than I could ever count.

too many to list. seems like every time I'm browsing the shelves my eyes fall on old favorite after old favorite, delicious beers that are so readily available all the time that they definitely get taken for granted. just to throw out a few that jump to mind:

    la fin du monde
    racer 5
    old Rasputin
a lot of the Trappist stuff
    practically the entire Founders lineup...

GL Edmund Fitzgerald and Founders Porter. Both are so good yet something else catches my eye.

I wish this was available in RI. It's such a great porter!

I really want to try the GL Edmund Fitzgerald. I love the song and so does my friend, who I would love to surprise with some. However, not trading currently (low funds).

Sixpoint in general for me. If anyone sees a pattern in my posts it's that sixpoint is by far my favorite brewery and pretty much my go-to for every style they brew. I don't even think twice that im lucky it's everywhere on long island for great price and always fresh.

DFH 60 Minute and 90 Minute for me. I love both of them, and I've never had a problem getting them living where I am... but in the Fall I'll be moving out to Iowa for the next two years, and they don't get DFH anywhere in Iowa City.

Fortunately they have a ton of Founders and Bells, but it still hurts.

I've seen it around here in DC a couple of times, to cut out the trading middle man.

having had it for the first time earlier this week, holy cow! i thought i'd hate quads because of the supposed licorice/raisin dominance, but my first Rochefort 10 didn't have that at all -- it was like super carbonated wine almost yet still beer in a dubbel-on-steroids kind of way.

anyway, chimay, rochefort, stone, sierra nevada, dogfish head, anchor steam, samuel smith nut brown -- i take those for granted to one degree or another because they're everywhere all the time. super easy to get.

Lil' Sumpin Sumpin is one of my favorite beers to enjoy on a summer night. It sucks though, because finding it with less than 2 months of age on it is tough in Pittsburgh.

And before the "freshness" debate can derail the thread, I like hops as fresh as possible, and after a month I'd prefer not to buy a hoppy beer, because I have better options available.

    So there.

Ten Fidy is always on the shelf around here. I've only had it once on tap. I guess I take it for granted but can't always justify the price.

I definitely take fresh Union Jack for granted. Fresh batches only seem to hit in MA/NH every six months, and after month two it's a totally different Munich bomb. I find myself checking dates in all of my regular spots recently and they all seem to have that February bottled date. The same holds true for Double Jack - right now the stuff on the shelves is a malty, syrupy mess - but when fresh that stuff is fantastic.
