I totally agree with you. I've told them this, too, but as long as Lauren Salazar is at the helm, I don't think we'll see a C&C wild from them.

Aside from Le Terroir, La Folie, and Eric's Ale, none of the wild ales in the LoF series have been any good.

If you take the tour the vats are only a certain size, and that leads to only a certain amount of beer. On the other hand I would put up $15-20 for a CC specialized version yearly...

Highly doubt NB is loosing money on LF, LF sells in Denver @ $18/22oz... Also, like I said earlier, I would pay good money for a proper C&C. Plus, when producing Flat Tire in three days, it more than makes up for lacking profits...

Point is: NB knows they don't need to put the time and extra effort into "rare" beers to gain or keep customers. I however, will not support the "machine" year in and year out. I buy 1-3 NB bombers a year and feel guilty for doing so every time...

    BdM wasn't too bad...but, +1

I've had numerous conversations with "higher ups" at NB and none seem to care about producing beer with actual time and love involved. Back in the day there was passion, but now it's all about profitability (hence "throwback" mix 12 packs with 9 beers you'd NEVER purchase).

I'll quote Lauren when approached, "...we do great things with hops."

    Enough said.

    Her husband Eric, he's alright.

Not trying to pick a fight because I see we're in agreeance, but For a proper C&C LF, I'd shell out even more than that. Which is why I said NB is severely missing the market.

Back in 2008 NB sold C&C LF for ~$19, now it would equate to ~$25-$30. Still worth it.

Upon review it seems that La Folie was losing money with the first few batches it was made only (probably related to start up costs) from my memory. I also remember picking up la folie for $9 back in the day (or was this in a really good dream?). Thanks for the correction and other info! Keep up the good fight over there dude and cheers!

NB Love is amazing. I only see it probably 2-3 times a year here in Austin on tap during special events. There's actually 2 versions... Felix (which is lighter) and Oscar (which is darker). We seem to only get Felix here. It's a 100% sour... still pasteurized, however, from my understanding.

Maybe that was true early on. I am not sure that still applies...
