I literally just saw Atlantic Amber on an online draft menu for Sono Brewhouse an hour ago. Obviously an outdated menu, but brought me back...

 

Sounds like based on twitter that Galaxy is nearing again. Good news. I need moar.

 

I think they have been looking for a larger space for quite some time. I recall them mentioning it last year.

Oh man, I am so bummed! My Sunday is jam packed with Father's Day stuff (cook out at my house, lots of prepping to do, plus we have some friends in town). So I don't think I'd be able to meet up with you in the early afternoon. Damn! A growler of G-Bot sounds unreal. So sad...

Can anyone tell me why sea hag is rated so low? I just went through a six pack in a few days and to me it is like Gandhi light. More sessionable with all the same flavors for half the price.

 

Because it is recently reformulated and is weighted down by ratings from the old recipe (which was really not a very good beer - don't get me wrong, better than bud, but nothing you would seek out and nowhere as good as it is now). It's rating is very deceiving because of that fact.

Total story is that it's an evolving beer ... not 100% sure if they finally have it where they want it or they are still tweaking.

 

Because it used to be awful.... I am also confused as to how it still gets low reviews, only thing I can think of is people are reviewing old cans.

A lot is probably due to their new hop contract too. They said that the new contract is 100 times better then the one they had before... This makes me very happy

 

old cans would have to be nearly a year old at this point. many people seem to review with a hivemind mentality on BA where they're afraid to give a rating with a big rDev, i think that's part of it here... they see a 3.7 rated beer and don't want to rate it higher.

 

That has to be it. I'm looking at the most recent reviews, and it still doesn't get any love. Needless to say, I have found one of my new go to six packs.
