Haha, that is the goal. I read this week that Chris Lively's beer cellar is valued at $7.5 million dollars, I have a long way to go.

How is that even possible? To get that high you would have to accumulate so much over such a long time that a lot of beer probably would go bad therefore making it not worth anything right?

If kept at 45 to 55 degrees, beer can last a long long time.

I agree that some can but I was just thinking of it as : 7.5 million dollars worth? How long will some sit there? 10, 20 years? Discussions have been brought up about potential beers that could last that long and they are there but not too numerous. So if there's 7.5 millions dollars of beer I find it hard to believe that even half of that could last that long. But oh well, Wtf do I know... Reading an article about him he definitely knows more than I do so I guess I shouldn't question him.

Tomorrow (Sat 15th) works for me, if this is still happening. Say the word, drop an address, and I'm there!

I sort of tend to agree. I have been in Chris' cellar and it's really awesome. But $7.5 million? Don't think so. Every bottle would have to be worth like $5,000 if I'm guesstimating on the quantities properly. I bet he's got 1,500 bottles in there (MAYBE more, but it's not that large and isn't stuffed to the gills) or so. Perhaps one or 2 of his very old/rare bottles is severely skewing that number though.

He's got at least 2 or 3 bottles from the 1800's, and also a 1902 bottle of Bass No. 1. No idea what that is worth.

The 2 vintages of the polar expedition beer - Allsop's Arctic Ale (1852 edition and 1875 edition) are the only ones I've heard stories of surviving to present day. I'm sure there are others, but would be tough to say if they were legitimate or not.

It was wonderful. Thanks you Noah for hosting, and thank you Will for the WWB and Prairie bottles. Bomb masterfully hides its 14%, drinking like a 7-8% stout, and I don't suppose I'll have anything quite like the Brett for a long time. Seth pretty much said the rest: awesome beer with excellent people, certainly nothing wrong with it.

Of course, I go out of town to get engaged, and you guys throw down something epic. I guess I will have to hold onto my Midwest haul for a little bit.
