I'd agree with this, they have some solid brews that are not as widely known

    Mad Fox is Mad awesome

Lost Rhino has some decent brews, but they still have a long way to go. a few of their beers are pretty great like their nutty brown ale and their DIPA. Corcoran is pretty great too

Heh, there are only 10 states they don't distribute in. But I guess their specialty brews don't make it far ...

Saint Archer. Not my fave, but don't hate it either. The hype is big - especially in L.A. Where I bartend in San Diego, we went through their IPA in 2 nights, then it was all anyone was asking about for the following week.

Yes, so far they have only canned two beers.. Your reply, " So what if they are canning in KY? " I wasn't pointing them out as special for canning. Haha, lots of craft is starting to do that. They have only PACKAGED two. They have a lot more at the brewery. Who cares if people still buy Miller, Bud or Coors? as unrelated as that is.

Hardywood Park Craft Brewery from Richmond, VA. Real Virginia-based products, like the Hardywood Hoplar (Imperial IPA) conditioned on Virginia Tulip Poplar wood, the Hardywood Virginia Blackberry (Belgian style White Ale with Virginia Blackberries), and my favorite, the Hardywood Gingerbread Stout (Imperial Milk Stout brewed with local ginger and honey) which scored a perfect 100 on this site. I'm lucky to live in Richmond! Here's to Hardywood growing and distributing in more than just Virginia in the near future.

Boneyard has shelved canning for the foreseeable future. They're still expanding into a larger facility, but only to meet the needs of their current draft accounts.

Also, their plan was to only can RPM.

Since distantmantra replied to a response to your post, you might have missed its contents. So I'll break the sad news to you gently by sending you to this thread, which you apparently missed.

You have crushed my soul. Oh well at least we get it on tap once in a while at the local pub. Bier One

Sorry about that. I just didn't want you to keep checking out the beer aisle in your local Thriftway week after week, looking fruitlessly for Boneyard cans.

We're getting it more reliably up here too; in fact a few places seem to almost always have RPM and/or HV on tap.

I would also like to add Prescott Brewing to the list. They make some good brews and their Ponderosa IPA is right tasty. They have done pretty good for themselves, expanding out to a second brewery and increasing production. They have also won some Gold, Silver, and Bronze for their beers at both NABA and GABF. The owners are very friendly and operate an awesome Brew Pub on Whiskey Row in Prescott. Solid folks, solid beers.

Upland? Really? Their beer is mediocre at best. I hear they have excellent sours but I have yet to get ahold of any. They use Oliver wine barrels from what I've heard. Also heard the sours are expensive and not the easiest to get. I will say Winter Warmer, their Barleywine, was decent. Other than that Upland is disappointing.

LOL. Triton is pretty bad. Cutters is better but that really isn't saying much. We do sell a lot of Railsplitter at my liquor store tho.

I really don't get it either. Their porter is decent but when i can get Founders and Bells porters Flat 12 might as well be non-existant. Walkabout is the best beer I've had from them so far. I know there is a new brewery starting up in Indianapolis soon called Tow Yard. Meet a brewer, might have been the head, and I have high hopes.

The Winter Warmer is a steal at $5 a bomber. Upland Wheat is always a good choice during the summer too. Haven't been lucky enough to try any of the lambics or Gilgamesh. They're definitely a terrible choice for Indiana's up-and-comer, though. Especially since they've been around for over a decade.

Not a single post from Tennessee. What a sad realization. I'll give a nod to Calfkiller and their innovative beer styles. I'm also reluctantly excited about Black Abbey, who hasn't opened their doors to the public yet.

I'm kind of surprised nobody from ohio has mentioned fat heads. The production brewery seems to be growing as they are bottling more of their beers. I've also heard rumors of expansion into both columbus and strangely portland oregon. I guess oregon doesn't have enough breweries.
