I try to drink and review a new beer every Sunday. Over the past couple years I've made it tradition to be a new beer from Michigan.

Other than that, I get Oberon as soon as it hits the shelves. Pumpkin ale on Halloween. Usually some sort of special lineup on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I like that, but I like it more if you live alone.

Every night, upon returning from work with a brown bag of beer, you yell out "I GOT SOME BEERS! LET'S DRINK 'EM!" only to be greeted with the sound of an empty house.

Revelling in the silence you solemnly open your beer, pour it in your favorite glass, and in complete contentment with your own company you partake.

    Beautiful.

    I have 3 (that I can recall)

    1) Seasonal Black & Tans - (or just brown blends if you want to be a smart ass) - Lagunitas Sucks and Founders Breakfast Stout, usually when both are on the fresher side in the later winter months.

    2) Hugs & Kisses - Valentines Tasting themed after Big Hugs from Half Acre and Teddy Bear Kisses from Upland, we also bring in any fruit or sour or vanilla beers. Generally the idea is to make a box of chocolates with beers.

    3) Birthday BCS Rare - A buddy of mine and I are very close to the same age, and stocked up on Rare when it came out. We've made it a point to have one each year on our birthdays from when we turned 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30... trying it every year for 5 years, and being done with it for our 30th's

I double-knot my left shoe, wear a knee high basketball sock on my right foot, pull off my rainbow suspenders, belch, crack the top and pour my beer into a glass. I make sure the first sip gives me a head nose-mustache. Drink deep, friends.

I have a 'Belgian Beer Week' every year from December 16th to Christmas Eve when I drink Belgian Strong Dark Ales and Quadrupels every day.

I only drink Naragansett Lager during Red Sox games.

We vacation each Summer on Cape Cod and I only drink beers brewed in New England during that week.

And Lo, on the 7th day, I doth drink the remainder of the beer left in my fridge, so that the wealth may be restocked upon the break of the following morn, and that shelf space is never an issue.

I chug Busch Light (or any other crap beer) on the way up the chairlift while snowboarding each winter. This tradition dates all the way back to before I was 21, when this was the way we had to drink while snowboarding because we wouldn't get served in the lodge. Living in the Midwest, the lifts around here are really pretty short so you have to drink it pretty quickly. Nowadays of course their are some pretty good beers on draft in the lodge, but this doesn't stop me from chugging a bit of swill on the lift every year. Last year I took a couple craft cans too but I have to say this is definitely the time and place for complete swill. Been doing this since I was probably 17 and really hope to do it well into my 50's with the same group of friends.

My friends are BMC drinkers so I make it a tradition to try to get them to try all my craft beers that I bring over whenever we hang out.
