I called into Pasadena and they said that they sold about 15 cases so far, but that they had around 75 cases in. So I don't imagine it'll go that quickly.

Compared to EnjoyBy or even the first iteration of Ruination 10th Anniversary this is a big letdown. Malty and not that hoppy.

Bought 2 today and not in a rush to drink the second.

    Ruination 10th was pretty malty.

    I agree with drtybvrjuce.

I feel there is no balance.

I remember more fruit and hops than malt the first time.

Hophead84, i feel the original hid the malt a lot better.

    imo

Either way i have 3 bottles left.

Will do a side by side with enjoy by

Edit: all valley stores got theirs today. ValleyBev, Vendome and Bevmo on Ventura

Yeah but super fresh it had enough bitterness and flavor to counter the malt backbone. Not this time.

I guess I don't remember it well. I do remember it being heavy and maltier than I wanted and that I didn't enjoy it as much as seemingly everyone else I knew and everyone on the forums. I had RuinTen on tap at Stone yesterday and thought it was good but was in a rush. I'll see what I think of the bottle. I'm kind of over 11% IPAs. Too heavy and malty almost every time.

It takes a lot of malt to get to 11%. Even with sugar added to bump the ABV and lighten the body.

Ruination Tenth isn't even half as malty as Knuckle Sandwich and people still complain. This " malt bomb" blows KS out of the water and then some!

Just had one, noticeable malt but doesn't take away from the hops. A bit unbalanced but it's exactly what I expect/want it to be.

This is a big DIPA. Getting close to Barleywine area. Huge malts up front and sweetin's up a bit in the end. This beer is one and done for the morning/day/evening. Like it but enjoy Enjoy By more. Would def keep this stocked in the fridge. Get this before it's all gone.
And yes. This rocks over KS. Liking Boots Lupulin Thrill over KS these days.

to be fair, KS hasn't been the same ol' KS as it use to be. I wonder if it's just a matter of tweaking for a bigger brewing that has thrown KS off the last few batches.

Just saying. . .my taste for ipa's/dipa's has changed from 2 years ago. I like the citrusy & more on the sweeter side rather than the maltier and heavier on the bitter side. When KS first appearing in the OC area I was sold. I would line up day of release for bottles. No more. I will occasionally buy a bottle now and then. But I will fill my growler with Lupulin Thrill before KS. Especially at the $25 price they want for KS fill. A big beer at a BIG price.
