Cascade Apricot is the tits. Also, try to get multiple vintages, I have the 2010 and 2011 and found them reasonably distinct (and both excellent). The 10 had more of a tart fruit sourness and excellent integration of flavors, while I found the 11 was ripe juicy peaches with a nice sour finish.

Samuel Smith Apricot Ale is certainly not sour in any regard but it has huge apricot flavor. Could be fun to blend it with a berliner or a straight forward sour/lambic. It may even be interesting to take a sip of and retaste some of the apricot beers to see if it enhances your palate's ability to pick up the apricot flavor.

You're totally right. It's with white grapes. I must have been fooled by the name.

Yeah I get confused by that too, I think the name is from a county or town in NY.

I know it's not a sour but it was pretty damn good....Deschutes Tree Shaker IPA is made with peaches and is worth a taste IMO.

Samuel Smiths apricot ale. Not really a sour, but close enough!

Cascade Noyaux is a raspberry beer made with apricot pits. It doesn't taste like apricots. Just sayin'.

I know, you are very right. I still want to include it because I feel like Cascade needs a couple different beers in the mix. And technically, there is some apricot flavor from the roasted shells of the pits. If push comes to shove and we are able to track down another 4-5 off the list, I will remove the Noyaux as overkill.

Thanks for policing my thread Stu.

And a big thanks to all comments/ideas so far. I am really looking to keep this to Peach and Apricot sours. Just too many options if I expand it to IPA's, fruited ales, etc.
