Cut some strips off of this Buffalo Trace whiskey Stave i got today(a plank from the whiskey barrel and it smell just like pure whiskey), grabbed a bottle of FBS,my Randell Jr and made me some Bootleg KBS.

Step 1.


Step 2.Pour a small amount into a taster for comparison.


Step 3. 15 mins later


Step 4.Some Bootleg KBS


Its changed the favor a bit. Made it a little thinner in the mouth but has a small woody taste from the char.The smell is the same, not a whole lot changed there. the after taste leaves the mouth a little dry. Overall a very good Experience and can't wait to do more stouts, tomorrow Bourbon Barrel Bell's Expedition.

I do think it raise the Ach. level from 8.3- 10. I don't know how or if its even possible but it feels like it for sure.

 

Someone reminded me I needed to revisit this brew.

Decided to keep my last bottle of BB4D for our vacation next week up north. Pulled out a regular 4th dim from 2009 instead. Nice way to let the campfire die down tonight.

Still damn good. So delicious with good malt complexity and spice balance.


Dessert Beer. With age, the slight peach astringency I remember on initial tasting is zero. So damn delicious and not cloying at all. Hell yes.

Always love how Victory At Sea ages. A lot of people don't seem to realize it, arguing that the vanilla and coffee fade. Oh how wrong they are!

I love the new Ptm, city and colour and national albums. I actually just saw both portugal the man and the national at bonnaroo and saw portugal the man again tonight. The new Kanye isn't doing much for me yet

 

Here's Day 29 "traveling pint glass." I wasn't sure if this was going to get in tonight after having a fun trip to the E.R. as my 2 year old was a bit dehydrated. He's good now for the most part.
