    While I agree that it is good, it was no match for Kentucky Brunch when tasted side-by-side:

    4 of 4 tasters that evening agreed. For what it's worth, a one-third-full bottle of BCBCS the next morning makes a pretty decent (and still tasty) start to the day.

    agree about "yum!"rather than make a fool of myself, i think it better to ask,,, is there a barrel aged version of this? and if so, i get the first ISO request!

    Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try KBBS and it seems like you have to give just short of a kidney to get a bottle. Hopefully in the future.

    no, I was only thinking "best coffee stouts," and missed the BA attribute in the OP. I actually posted a second follow-up with "Wake-n-Bake," but I deleted it because it's not BA either.....

    Both would be awesome!

    As far as I know, they only sold it at the brewery on the release date. I got one of 300 bottles. a few people got 2 bottles. Your best bet is to follow them online and visit on release days. Depending on where you are in Illinois, you may be closer than I am. Decorah is a 3-hour drive from Minneapolis.

    MBCP
    CW Coffee stout
    And I just loved cycle brewing's cream and sugar porter

    I am on the side of.....barrel aging does not enhance the coffee in these brews, so no BA brews made my list.

    Such a good beer. But my guess is you didn't just "snag" them. They aren't sold in the states.

    Would list BA Darklord variants, since they're made with Intelligentsia coffee, but coffee isn't really noticeable.
