I feel quite thankful that Firestone Walker made it to Maryland. I've also been enjoying many offerings by Elysian, which just showed up here. Now get us some Three Floyd's, Half Acre, Ninkasi, Deschutes and Founders and I'll be vey content.

Boulevard came to North Carolina a few months ago and I really like what they are doing. Fresh Dales Pale ale is pretty awesome too.

I'm pretty sure both Lagunitas & Firestone Walker are "last five years" entrants to Colorado; I think Boulevard is too. (Weird it took Boulevard so long, from next door in Kansas, but that's my recollection). I'd say Lagunitas but you can see why it is a tough choice.

Sierra says they will be up and brewing at the end of 2013. New Belgium in 2014 due to the brownfield site remediation.

Ninkasi is terrible. Doesn't deserve to be mentioned with the others.

Today, I discovered that my local beer store is now carrying offerings from The Bruery! I grabbed 2 bombers (Mischief, Saison De Lente), and was happily on my way.

I'm curious to hear your stories about discovering new breweries locally. Fire away!
