    tangential cellaring note:

premeditated murder has really come into its own. very bitter and still a little hoppy, but thick cookie and (mysteriously) some coffee malt flavors are coming out and showing the beer to be a unique, excellent barleywine. it's less of a mystery now as to how the time in rum barrels did redrum so much good.

if you have several bottles, i'd say crack one now. additionally, i bet a good year or two would be very beneficial to this beer.

I really hope its not this week, as its the AHA homebrew conference. Many of us homebrewers will be out of town.

I kick myself daily for buying only 2 bottles. Really, REALLY hope they brew PM again.

yeah, i didn't buy enough myself. i think there's some floating around in the hartford area still, but i'm not sure. either way, definitely worth brewing again.

very forward-thinking barleywine, like bigfoot. good at release, but "wow, someone knew what they were doing with this recipe..." with some age (already!). perfect for barrels.

I know they guy at Harry's I've seen it out in the cooler but it usually sells out before they can get it into the system. Black Rock used to be my place to go until I found out that they hide a lot behind the scenes...

and there go the bottles as well. There is some logic behind it being silent.
