Is there a better value than Rampant DIPA?

    props on that... best beer for the price for years imnsho...

    for me Bear Republic stuff was the cheapest bang for the buck for years... lagunitas wasn't too shabby either but they have gone up here in sopranos-ville in the past year or so...

    it was always around 7.99 or less at times... ridiculous... and tasty

    It's the 1200th ranked DIPA on this site. As someone already mentioned SUCKS is the best DIPA value in a 6er.

    I had a sixer of Rampant not long ago. My very first DIPA. The hop assault left a kind of burning sensation in my throat. Never experienced that before. Subsequent bottle produced much less of that effect. It took a while to get used to, but I ended up liking it. Could use a bit more malt to balance the hops a bit, but for around $8.50 a sixer, not bad. Right now, with Lagunitas higher-gravity beers (Maximus, Undercover Investigation Shutdown Ale, Sumpin' Sumpin') on sale for $8.99, I stocked up. Lagunitas kicks ass.

    I just got a six pack of it at my local store for $5.99, so, yes. Currently, Rampant is the best deal on the market.

    I'd rather, and frequently do, pay the extra $2 for 2 less bottles of New Glarus IIPA's. Rampant wasn't my thing at all, way too unbalanced and bitter for my palate.

    Lagunitas Sucks at $9.99 a 6 pack is was the ultimate DIPA deal when it was fresh.

    I will go on record saying that RAMPANT is the WORST double IPA that I have ever consumed. Yes, there is a better value. Any other beer you see on the shelf.
