Cracked the bottle of Doom that I had in the fridge. It's definitely better than when I had it when it was first released; it's not so bourbon forward and is much more enjoyable. It certainly isn't Founders best, but it's also far from their worst.

    Review mania:

This was pretty solid. Good balance of hibiscus and wheat malt flavors with no cloying sweetness.

This was quite nice surprisingly. Good balance of dark and roasted malt flavors with honey and cocoa additions; with a fair amount of robustness. Nicely enjoyable stuff.

Very nice barrel aged IPA! I think they should have called it Barrel Hatter personally. This is a fairly fresh bottled(May 9th), but the toffee and vanilla from the bourbon is just popping out. All around nice balance of the hop flavors with moderate malt balance as well. Really enjoyed this.

Brasserie Dupont does it again with great beer. All you need to know is this is essentially Vieille Provision with herbs/spices(with more malt because it's 8%). And it is really delicious. All around nice balance of fruity/spicy yeast with herbs and moderate malt balance. Very smooth to drink for 8%. 2012 cork so I know it's fresh.

I was happily surprised by that beer, with little expectations from Two Brothers. Especially after having Outlaw...

Nightcap! This is excellent. I'm not a huge fan of Lindeman's fruit lambics, but this is on par with many other geuzes that I have had.

It is much better than Outlaw. It is actually one of my favorite Pale Ales. Tastes like a cracker dipped in hop juice... actually that sounds nasty, but you get my point.

5 Vulture Missionario. I just can't find any almond in this beer. I think it's one of those beers that would have been better super fresh and on draft.

No doubt, my friend. Several of my friends are at the Jimmy Buffett concert tonight at Northerly Island and Kaner showed up with the Stanley Cup just like he did in 2010...

This week the Cup has been everywhere. I moved from the city to the suburbs two months ago, and the Cup has showed up at least two places that are a couple blocks from where I lived. I probably should have moved a couple of months later. #reallybadtiming

Not getting the onion bomb I've heard about, but it's definitely pretty hot. Still enjoyable.
