I have made a terrible mistake. How was the King Henry? I was about to consider tendering an offer on the ISO's for one and going heavy on it.

 

Best barleywine I've ever had. So goddamn smooth.

 

Let me sing a little dirge for Sucaba. It was exactly as I'd imagined, though. I guess I'll wait around for BCBBW...

 

Had it before and I can confirm its as good as others are saying

 

We had a lot of fun at Jester King today. They seemed to be having a few kinks, but everyone was patient as issues were found and resolved. I got a glass of Boxer's Revenge, Viking Metal, and RU-55 and was a happy man. Cool teku-like glassware as well (non-branded). The part I appreciated most was shorter wait times getting into the bar and outside tent (and even then, Ron told me that they were working on making lines even shorter).

Thanks again to Michael the Lurker for sharing that King Henry! BM me if you need any more trading or bottle share advice. I'm... a... mentor?

Also, I think my wife lined up Cherry Hellfighter & Roll in the Hay bottles with Matt while I was getting a beer, lol.

I thought it was good but over hyped (had it about a year ago) For what people trade for KH, I'll just take Sucaba which I think is almost as good. Of course I'm in the minority but I also think Rare is wayyyyyyy over rated as well.

To each their own though, different strokes for different folks.

 

I would say MoAS over Abacus, but I haven't had it, also, Rare is really overrated.

Dont get *****. There is no fair trade for King Henry in over a year. Plus IMO what has made KH special has already fallen off. Its still a great beer mind you just not worth the rarity tax. I would suggest trading for Fremont Bourbon Barrel Abominable instead.

I loved KH, but could not agree more on the Fremont B-Bomb. I got 6 bottles when I bought it and after I tried it, I wished I bought 2 cases. lol

Fremont BaBomb is outstanding. I think I still have 4 of the current release, and 4 of the last one.
