I'll be heading up to Hartford (from SE CT) on Friday. Any places you guys know about where I can pick up some GB (or try it on tap)? Any places I should definitely stop?

You know, the more I have it, the more I'm utterly in love with Galaxy. What I wouldn't give to have them start canning it...

Take the Meritt Parkway on the way up and stop at NEBCO, can't promise they will have it but sure they will have something great on Tap. Growlers make great gifts for whomever you are going to see in Hartford.

If your headed up Rt 9. Stop by and see ctbeerpope at Tonys Package in haddam. He keeps that place stocked with a great selection and usually has GB when it's in distro. Another possibility is to hit Eli Cannons in Middletown. They have 36ish taps and also have GB frequently.

Not the best beer I've ever had from them, but certainly the one I most consistently desire. I'd rather drink a Galaxy than a Bot 95 times out of 100, and that's no knock on Bot. The only beer I dream about more than that beer is HF Double Galaxy.

Sounds like weiss trash will be around tomorrow plus galaxy and hag? If anyone hears different ... Kindly let me know.

Considering making the lunch run from fairfield county to hit that home run. Long lunch but combo is worth it.

Check; New Haven pretty much doubles my route. Granted, at that point, my concerns for picking up some NEBCO (and maybe some other goodies) would be alleviated, but I honestly won't have the time.

The SR 85 / Rte 2 / I-91 path is pretty desolate, too, excepting Hartford itself.

Yeah, might be a rough go.

668 and Hag for growlers today, and 8 cases of WTC left when I departed half an hour ago. Matt said he expects it to last until tomorrow, but likely no later.

Also, the next batch of Bot will be ready tomorrow (late afternoon-ish), but will be growler-only. They're getting the new canning line on Friday and are holding off on canning more Gandhi until it's up and running.

Got a Imperial Stout Trooper at Marty's in Allston. Not on the shelf, it's on the "secret stash" list behind the counter. $20, not sure what it's supposed to cost but I've been wanting to try to so I went for it.

750ml I assume? If so, it's at least 18 months old and originally retailed for around $15. Not a terrible vintage markup, assuming it's been well stored.

Jesus $20 is steep. I grabbed one in rochester,NY for a whopping $7.50. Ghandi 4-packs in cuse priced at $11.50 ($10.50 in rochester).

Anyone heading to saratoga for the phish shows this weekend? I'd love to meet up an do a small in-person trade for some weiss trash culture. I lived in new haven for a few years and have been going to the brewery since about 2004. Love their beers but can't make it to new haven from syracuse before they run out

The $20 bottle may have been the bomber from the year before rather than the short bottle that came out this year. I remember it selling for like $18-19 around here.

This year's smaller bottles sold for $6 at the brewery

At a minimum it is from last year's batch since this year's was 500 ml.
