I'm going to the newbi dumb ass and ask if anyone happens to have any extra tix for DLD. I'm hoping for 2 tix but 1 would be fine as well.....I have some delicious treats such as Hunahpu, BA Yeti , Dark Lord 2010, King Henry, BCBCS, that i would be willing to share with the kind soul with an extra for me....definitely need the earliest session and would still be willing to pay a little extra for a ticket....BM me if interested....thanks!

That should ensure you a decent parking spot. I also realized that since your hotel is so close, a taxi might be your best bet. Then you don't have to worry about drunk driving.

Whether or not 9AM will work for your beer will depend on what group you have. If you have B or C, 9AM should be fine. If you have A, I'd suggest showing up earlier so you can get all your line waiting done early and spend the rest of the day hanging out.

I just like the idea of having a car nearby that I can drop stuff off in. What time does DLD end? I'm thinking I can just stop drinking the last couple hours and sober up. This is my first DLD so that may be a foolish thought.

It goes pretty late I think but I've never stayed past 5 or 6. Arriving at 5am as usual, it takes a hell of a lot out of you to drink all day. If you can even stay awake to sober up, yes you will have the time.

You are correct ... that is a foolish thought. Get some backup plans if possible. Too many good beers flying all over the place.

Tasting tables....are they a thing of the past? Ok, so this will be my 6th DLD in a row and I am totally fine with the exponential rate its been growing at, but there is one thing that concerns me this year, which is the complete NO COOLER rule. I get not having rolling coolers and lawn chairs, though I loved having them, but does anyone have any insight if they are going to be legit turning people away with coolers that you can carry in your hand (i.e. the ones they were cool with last year)? If so, I can't imagine the tasting tables will really exist this year, and that makes me a sad panda.

Anyone have any actual info from the peeps at 3F? I can read 3F blog and see what they say about bringing a 'few beers to trade' and 'no coolers'. I'm talking about how to actually plan this year since I do want to bring SOME COLD beers to share with friends and BAs...I don't need to bring 3 cases, but you get the idea, a little bit of nostalgia from years past.

my truck will be full of tasty's for tasting. I'm sure I will hear all the bands from there and be able to sit down and relax and drink and share.

Yea...I mean...I was at XV too and the no cooler thing SUCKED for those that did strictly abide by the policy and sat in line for 4 hours with no beer (minus the generous souls that did in fact have a couple and were willing to share). The only issue I see is potential strict law enforcement once the line to enter FFF dies down preventing outside beer enjoyment....oh well...such is life. STILL I LOVE DLD AND FFF AND THIS IS GOING TO ROCK (I don't like to be debbie downer for such an awesome and fun event).

There were tons of coolers in the line at XV. They just went back to cars before the gates opened.

Re: Tasting tables - Leave the cooler in the car, carry in a couple of bottles "for trading," and crack them at your tasting table. Then go reload. Should work just fine, unless they suddenly enforce some sort of "no outside bottles" rule.

I thought at XV they had said no backpacks, but on the DLD tips on their site it's just: "Coolers, furniture, tents, grills etc… will not be permitted. If you want to bring a couple beers to trade or sample, that’s great within reason."
