Bloody Marys in the morning, then PBR during the afternoon. Probably switch to bourbon in the evening, because I'm classy like that.

I'll never understand why people want to sit on good beer and hoard it. Drink that shit up.

Probably drinking my newest batch of home-brew (See my glass of hb'd Irish Heavy, pretty aint it?). A Northern Brewer weiss. A German beer you say? No I'm an American, African -American. By the way, did you know that German almost became the national language? Anyway what's more American than homebrewing like our forefathers? Also gonna read the Declaration to my kids, a family tradition. Happy Independence Day BAs!!!

I'm all about the smoker and the beer, but cornhole? Perhaps we have some kind of regional language difference....

I’m going to a big family barbeque, so we’re bringing a lot of beer. Because I’m a nerd, we’ll be serving some or all of the following:

    Samuel Adams Blueberry Lager
    Samuel Adams Lager
    Samuel Adams Light
    Samuel Adams Summer Ale
    Yard’s General Washington’s Tavern Porter
    Yards’ Saison
    Yard’s Thomas Jefferson’s Tavern Ale
    Williamsburg Alewerks’ Red Marker Ale
    Williamsburg Alewerks’ Tavern Ale
    Williamsburg Alewerks’ Washington’s Porter

Predictably missed the point... but feel free to guzzle all you want. I, for one, have never been accused of sitting on a good beer. There's a big difference between, say, a six-pack of PBR and a six-pack of Two-Hearted. Two-three guys chugging two cases of high-ABV, highly aromatic craft beer is not the opposite of "sitting on good beer". Nor is it synonymous with "enjoying good beer". One would hope that BA people would have good sense not to brag about such dubious achievements. But your mileage may vary -- at least until the third bottle. After that, it's all downhill.

My impression was that bragging about getting black-out drunk was something that was barely acceptable in high school and -- maybe -- at state college. Perhaps I was wrong.

What do you know of their alcohol constitution? Maybe they have plans to drink water after every few beers? And don't assume things like I missed "the point" because "the point" in this instance is you coming off like the typical assumptious, snobby beerterd.

I'll probably cellar-raid for something better than average, most likely American, but it isn't like we got here by ourselves so if a foreign-brewed sounds good, it is good.

Probably has something to do with the fact that it is a holiday featuring great weather and plenty of social events.

OK, this is the kind of (reverse) condescending bullshit that pisses me off. Here's a hint -- the amount of water you drink between every few beers may only result in lower blood alcohol because all that drinking will take more time, not because it will dilute the alcohol. High-ABV beers will have the same effect over the same period of time whether you drink water or not. The only difference will be the number of pit stops. Drinking water after the act might help you recover a bit faster -- unless you're already passed out. Now, go back to high school!

The irony is that we actually share a birthday...

There is a strong possibility that I will crush a four pack of sprecher's Bourbon Barrel aged Root Beer.

Got a few set aside, plan on hitting a couple different stores up before Thursday...I doubt I'll drink it all in one day, but its a four day weekend for me

    All American indeed!

    Schlafly American IPA ×6
Mother Earth "Sisters of the moon" ×6
    Double Trouble ×4
    Lagunitas Lucky 13 ×2
    Ruinten ×2
Stone IRS×2 ...aging , but I'm not opposed to cracking one considering there are plenty more on the shelves still!

Looking to get ahold of the VA local "Bitter Valentine" ,I hear they just released a batch.
I feel like I'm needing some more lower abv brews in the mix as well, A little Sumpin' Sumpin' or sweetwater IPA should do the trick!

working 8-1 and then planning on drinking nothing but 21st Amendment Bitter American.

Sure, the name has 'Merica somewhere in it, but it's also tasty, low ABV, and in a can. Im looking forward to having and remembering fun with family and friends. Couldnt imagine drinking some of the lists posted here.....
