This is the man that keeps me stocked on Crooked Stave, Avery, and anything awesome that comes into CO. Bow down to him. I do.

I would add coconut flavored granulated sugar with lots of alcohol. Like all Avery big stouts it will evolve for eternity.

Shhhh, don't tell them that.... now my inbox is gonna be full :stuck_out_tongue:

I think the general consensus (here in Colorado) on this beer is that it is very well done and taste like burning awesomeness in a bottle. Yes, you will get Diabeetus drinking it and I'd probably avoid it if you don't like extremely sweet beers. Unfortunately, it certainly won't hit distro outside of Colorado. Anybody want to sign themselves into indentured servitude?

It's actually quite delicious, even if it's a bit hot.

I enjoy Creme Brulee and can probably drink 12 oz before I get Diabeetus fatigue. Think I could handle this as well.

Based on your rampantly negative rDev scores, I'd say 'what you know' is up for debate.

Paul has rated 1,750 beers and about a thousand have negative rDev scores. I don't know that if that really supports your claim, but I can tell you first-hand that Paul knows his shit. And to reiterate his point, that's just his opinion. Taste is subjective.

I think it is easier to have a negative rDev than positive in general. I mean, I scored Heavy Machinery DIPA 4.35 and that is still negative.

If I included a smiley face at the end of my post, would the tongue-in-cheek notion have been taken more literally? I was merely suggesting that it seems he was highly critical of A LOT of beers. I'm sure he's a good human, and it's nice to see you TX BA's stick together.

That is like my opinion man...and who says I am a good human. I want to know what these crazy people are saying about me.

Does this make you feel better...you seem to be looking at just one part of the information. Some of my old review are pretty embarrassing actually, which is the point for me anyway. Always a learning experience.
