What are some beers that you had, that the first time you drank 'em, you didn't like 'em, but at a latter time you loved it. Last year I had a Noble Pils and care for it (Maybe it was too hoppy for me then). Now I love stuff. What's your story?

The only one that I can really think of off the top of my head is Natty Greene's Southern Pale Ale. Like with your story with the Noble Pils, it was too hoppy for me at the time, but now it's one of my go-to pales. Probably not the absolute best of its kind, but still a great selection for the price, if you're in NC that is.

New Holland's Dragon's Milk. When I first tried the stuff, I couldn't stand it: too strong, too many flavors coming together on my newly cherry-popped tongue. Now I find it to be rather tasty...

Bigfoot for me. My first thought was "if this is what all barleywines taste like then this style is not for me" Now I enjoy Bigfoot and barleywines are one of my favorite styles

True. If I had the money, I'd buy up every Oktoberfest beer I had laid eyes upon lol.

Ruination. I was visiting a girl I was dating at the time in Syracuse. I was relatively new to craft beer, and even newer to American IPA. That stuff was one hell of a shock!

Had it a year later and and loved it.

I did that last year. Very poor decision.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll keep that in mind.

Over the last 3-4 years, I noticed quite a few brews have ended up being more enjoyable to me the second time around. These are...

    Fort George Vortex IPA
    Golden Valley Tannen Bomb
    Great Divide Hercules
    Hair of the Dog Adam
    Lagunitas Olde Gnarlywine
    New Old Lompoc C-Note
    Ninkasi Total Domination
    North Coast Old Stock
    Russian River Blind Pig
    SN Bigfoot
    SN Celebration
    Victory old Horizontal

Furthermore, the opposite has happened on a few beers as well (offerings I used to enjoy that I don't really care much for anymore)...

    Lagunitas IPA
    Rogue Dead Guy
    Walking Man Black Cherry Stout
    Widmer KGB

Founders Nemesis 2010. After I'd had a shitload of different beers, I cracked open the single bottle of 2010 I had left (over a year later), and absolutely loved it.

I absolutely hated the first Schlenkerla rauchbier I had (I forget which one) and couldn't struggle through it. Now it's still not my absolute favorite style, but I do appreciate the smoke. I've been meaning to get a bunch of them (or a minikeg...) since you supposedly need to drink three in a row before it gets really good

Also, whenever I get around to making another trip to Germany, Bamberg is high on my list of cities to visit.

Stone Ruination. It was maybe the 2nd or 3rd craft beer that I had ever tried, so it was way too hoppy for me – now it’s one of my go-to beers.

Yup. First time I had Bigfoot I was sitting on the floor of a mini-van on the way to a party, senior year of college. I remember thinking "maybe it's just not cold enough" because it hadn't been chilled for very long . . . As you can imagine, I did not have proper glassware, either.
