Favorite Hop...

    I like this setup...can anyone else name an awesome trifecta of beers for each hop. I've never had Hopslam, but I love Jai Alai and Pliny...so I'm assuming that makes me a fan of Simcoe.

    I don't know about a trifecta of beers but how about the trifecta of hops goes to hallertau, tettenang and saaz. (spelling - I am not responsible)

    Put me down for Citra! was simcoe, also props to Mosaic (Fresh Squeeze aroma is off the hook!)

    The Citrusy hops.... I think Sucks is a good representative of them.

    i was going to say ... give me some good noble hops in a malty pilsener, and the rest can play for second place

    Disagree, but understand where you're coming from....I would choose a more hop focused style for this thread every time. That said, noble hops are amazing in the right beer and deserve some rep

    Honestly, one of my dream beers is basically a Czech pilsner, traditional in every single way, except that near bottling time it is modestly dry-hopped with Citra. Same lagering period, same malt bill, same early and late boil hops....just add Citra.
