Been absent for awhile... looking for 2 BAs

    Not sure about Gusler, though I heard he had some health issues a few years ago. TheLongBeachBum is still happily living in Long Beach, CA, but is not very active online lately.

    The last I heard of Gusler he was moving to Tuscon to live with a daughter there. He was very kind in showing me around Phoenix and Scottsdale, especially Papago, and sending me home with a suitcase full of great beer.

    I am doing OK. We probably met at the Pizza Port (Carlsbad) Strong Ale Fest since I attended that about 8 or 9 times.

    Yep, it was the Pizza Port in Carlsbad. Loved that trip there with my son. We worked our way all the way up the coast and eventually found some Racer 5 on tap at their brewhouse, but was hoping for Racer X. Since then one of my favorite SoCal spots, The Liars Club, went defunct. Very sad about that I was introduced to some of the very best CA IPAs at that spot, notably Racer X. They told me how rare it was to get it.
