This will more than likely be a brewery only release. I'm guessing along the lines of gates of hell. Just my $.02.

It's a fairly safe guess...CCB never distributes BA beers.

It will most likely be a brewery limited release only, as all of their other BA releases are.

At this point, Im thinking that CCB will only do silent releases from now on because of too much hype and camping out at their brewery lol

silent releases might be what causes the camping and hype... so that might be the reason they do it. Their tasting room is much busier than its ever been. Its working like a charm, if that is their method.

Apparently, Gentlemen's Club is already for sale online.

My question is, is this beer also seeing distribution here in FL? If some shop in Oregon's got it, and we can only get bottles at CCB, to me it might be cheaper to have them shipped from OR rather than spend the gas and time on driving all the way up. Not that I don't like going, but I can only make so many trips in a year...

I'm in Portland visiting right now. Was in two bottle shops yesterday that had cases of all 3 gentlemens club beers. One was selling them for 18 each, the other for 20 each. I don't know whether to buy them and haul them back to FL(I don't have time to drink them here while visiting all these breweries), or wait it out for them to show up in FL. Decisions decisions. I don't want them taki up valuable bottle in luggage real estate if they'll just show up back home in 2 weeks!

Yeah that's what I was thinking with Founders beers last time I went up north. Thought I would be seeing them a couple weeks later... look at me now, still waiting. Kinda wish I would have grabbed some.

Just found a place here that has all three on tap! I'm going to go try them this afternoon, THEN decide if I want to throw down 20 bucks a bottle.

Ok verdict IMHO is this. Bad news first. Bourbon is extremely disappointing. Rye is decent. Oak is absolutely stellar! But those of us who regularly drink white oak Jai Alai and Hornswaggled know that CCB always wins with oak!

That seems to be a fairly common rating card for all three. Opposite of what I was expecting but not surprising when,as you say, you look at ccb's oak history.

As did I. And like I said, it's just my opinion. I hate when people post "oh this was no good" in these forums, and then that becomes BA law. We all have different tastes. For example, twice yesterday we visited Cascade Brewing which, as I'm sure you know is a THE place for sours. I don't like sours. I tried their sours. I don't like their sours either. My wife and everyone else say I'm "wrong" for not getting into sours. I've tried some of the "best" and I still don't like them.

So in general what I'm saying is, to each his own. When and if we do get them in FL, try all 3 and judge for yourself. But by all means, if you find yourself not liking the oak, send it my way.

How much does it resemble an old fashion? I have found some old fashions to be pretty awful, but just had one on Friday that was delicious, so not sure the ingredients.
