This isnt a style I gravitate towards by any means, but honestly Heavy Seas Riptide was just a solid brew, lot of refreshing qualities and enjoyable flavors.

Portsmouth Brewery now has a Purple IPA. White IPA's are so 2011/2012, expand your horizons bro.

I've had that beer on 3 separate occasions and been super underwhelmed. Maybe white ipa isn't for me

Blue Point and Two roads make a white ipa and they suck. not nearly hoppy enough to be called an ipa imo.
i prefer mixing my own. try 2 parts of two roads hefe and one part sea hag. much better.

Are the only thing that makes it an White IPA adding orange peel and coriander? I'm not a fan of those two ingredients in beer. I find the hops are pretty subdued in White IPAs, almost like they should be called White Pale Ales.

Like IPA's and wheat beers, don't really care for white IPA's

In most cases, not really. With only a few exceptions, hoppy wheat beers don't do it for me. The only one I really enjoyed (the old Sierra Nevada Wheat) isn't brewed anymore.

It tastes like an IPA, and it has wheat in it. That makes it a white IPA, right? It's the only one in the style that I've really liked though.

All very tasty beer, and all of the style I've had the opportunity to sample. So yes, I like "white" IPAs.

Would love to be able to try Lynchpin or Deschutes Conflux No. 2, but that seems unlikely now. Boo.

Had one this weekend and thought, "It's OK, but I prefer the IPA minus the White". It lacked enough bitterness to call it an IPA to me.

I voted no, but I've only had Deschutes Chainbreaker, not a fan. Wouldn't turn it down though.

    I haven't had a hill of a lot, so I can't really say.

According to their website, Odd Side is currently bottling this one. I don't know anything about it but it sounds like a 'white/wheat IPA'...

I'm under the impression that a white IPA is brewed with coriander, orange peel, and wit yeast and hopped with American hops. Pretty sure it should be called an American wit and not a white ipa, but how would anyone here know it's hoppy if it wasn't called an IPA, right?

With that said and some brief research into the styles which I should have done a long time ago, I have determined that while wit beers are not a favorite style of mine, hefeweizen and american wheats are. So yes to wheat IPAs, not so much on wit IPAs.

O'Connor Spyhop was pretty damn good. They're coming into their own over there, El Guapo and Great Dismal are some solid brews too.
