Bruery Hoarders Party

Interesting, thanks! I'm not a Hoarder so I'm not on the email list.

 

Great list. Yeah, I really hope to make the next Hoarders event, the only part of the memebership so far I've yet to fully experience. Missed the Melange 8 componet tasting last Novemember, made even more bittersweet after the fact since they vacated the Provisions. Hoping the next one has dates I can make work.

Looks like I got the day off work. I will be enjoying the festivities on the 4th! I can't wait to try all these beers again!

 

FWIW, it was a Melange 3 components' tasting and it was at The Bruery Tasting Room. (I can't remember if there was a parallel event at Provisions or not (like they did with Black Tuesday)).

 

There were both as I recall, as a fellow BA Hoarder I know went to the Provisions one. I actually didn't miss out on the beers themselves, just the experience (i.e. Hosted by Tyler & Patrick, Q&A, etc.) As they had the components at the barrel party shortly thereafter. The seperate tasting area, food, etc. at the Intiation Party this year though was cool, so glad I got to experience that Hoarder perk.

 

What is everyone bringing for the bottle share?

 

I'm planning to bring a growler of Society and Solitude #3 or 2... I don't remember which, plus an Upland Sour...

 

Rueuze, Otiose, BA 4 Calling Birds. Might be able to swing by the cellar for some Grand Funk Ale Road and 09 Autumn Maple.

 

Don't hold out. I know you got some Saison Rue, Orchard White and Mother Funker in there.

I am going to be bringing a Cantillon of some sort. And another beer, haven't decided which yet.

I was at the tasting room on a little before it opened on 7/4 only as a lowly RS member though. I saw a decent amount of people cruising by the main door and continuing on to the back but I would venture a guess that the turnout was lower than expected due to conflicting with a national holiday like that. Bottleworks XII is all I would need to see to have a good time.

 

Nothing? Rule 1 of the hoarders club I guess....

 

I tagged along with a Hoarder friend. It was pleasantly uncrowded and the food was quite good. No bum beers in the bunch, but Bottleworks 2011 tasted way better than 2013. That and Griffon were the winners for me. I was unaware of the bottleshare, so I didn't bring anything and my Hoarder friend didn't think to bring anything. So we had to mooch unfortunately, but people were super generous, coming around offering pours of 09 Cuvee de Tomme, 2009 Bourbon County and 2010 Abyss. There were some Dark Lords as well. I didn't press for more though due to moocher status.

Oh and some guy was WASTED and fell on his glass afterwards and then pissed his pants. Most people were well behaved though.

 

It's not a party until someone pisses themselves.

 

lol please tell me this was the guy who was taken away in handcuffs by the security guard at a Stone fest a couple years back (gottatickemall, I believe)
