Yeah you would think Sierra + DFH, or RR, or Boulevard would be a masterpiece. Those are all good beers, just not spectacular. Nothing against those fine breweries, I think people just set there expectations very high when they see two big names on one bottle. I'm guilty of that.

Surly Hell. It's not bad, but it's definitely my least favorite beer they make.

Totally agree with Bloody Beer, Love Shorts, but yikes that is a nasty brew IMO.

Smuttynose Star Island Single, Gravitation, and Zinneke. Basically, anything Belgian inspired Smutty tries to make I guess.

What the hell was Sam Adams thinking when they put fruit in any of their beers? Especially the cranberry fiziwig stuff.

most clearly because i'm a dumbass.

well, also now that i think about it, because they don't wax their caps and have insanely low bottle counts and crazy punk rock release parties.

i grabbed the kellerweis given a 6.99 a six pack special this month - damn, i'm glad i did.

Love both Summerfest and Solace! Great summer beers; simple, yet incredibly refreshing. Im also a big fan of Indra Kunindra. I don't get any sulfur egg, but plenty of curry and coconut, which I think works great the stout characteristics. Though I'm wondering: did you have a fresh bottle, and are you sure it was taken care of properly? I can't see any of the odd ingredients in it doing well over a long time, especially in improper conditions.

Anyways, my choice is Green Flash's Friendship Brew. Awful stuff made even more awful because of the expectations set from those breweries previous collaboration, as well as because it sold so poorly that it completely messed up their seasonal line up and pushed back the release of Palate Wrecker. It was kind of funny when my friend asked Chuck about it though. His face immediately darkened at it's mention. Though to his credit, the beer has improved a bit with age, just like he had said.

While I'll give you the AMEN for quality control, I feel including PM in this post is unfair. That infected batch aside, I'd put it up against the best bbal stouts out there, when you take price and availability into account.

Really? I've been wanting to try it for a long time now. My local craft beer bar, The Flying Saucer, had it on tap a couple of weeks ago but I missed out on it.

Don't be closed-minded. Indra Kunindra was an innovative and tasty beer. I have served it to multiple people and they have all liked it.
