If anyone needs tix, I bought four but am unable to go.
Will sell all 4 tix (for which I paid $120) for $75. Send me a beer mail if interested.

I'd skip Canal Park Brewing. Food is ok but their beer is on par with Granite City. We were there yesterday, low ABV and IBUs. Place seems like a tourist trap. No waiting even at 6pm on the 4th of July.

Head over to the Duluth Grill then Bent Paddle for beers. They have some great stuff on tap including a couple on nitro and their Cold Pressed Coffee beer.

I've found the Canal Park beer solid and it's been busy as shit every time I am in...I'd say a solid step up from Granite City but maybe I am overrating them.....with that said I do think Bent Paddle is the more interesting of the two and if given the choice I would go Bent Paddle everytime.

I'll be there. There were a few great limited releases last year (Mango Mama, Cacao Bender, Fiery Hell, Czar Jack to name a few) and the venue can't be beat. This year the White Iron Band is playing which is cool too.

I live in Duluth and agree with a couple of the above that Canal Park Brewery food is good..beer is meh. I'd also skip Duhblinn's and Carmody's brewpubs. Time would be much better spent at Bent Paddle and you should also check out Tycoon's. It's right downtown and is part of the Fitger's Brewhouse conglomerate of taverns/eateries. Very cool place, excellent beers. Another newer tavern downtown that frequently has a good tap selection is 7 West Taphouse.

    Cheers.

I wish I could still recommend a 2:00 AM visit to the HOD for some tacos and a bear claw before bed.

Typically use to lurking the threads here on BA; I'm surprised no one has commented on the lineup yet. Surly (Darkness, Diminished SeVIIn, and Urine Trouble) and Town Hall's (Coconut Mango IPA, Russian Roulette, and Rustic Rye Saison) seem to be the most attractive (in case you didn't already suspect that from them). Looking forward to trying other beers from Barley John's, Canal Park, Dangerous Man, Fitger's, and Pour Decisions for the first time.

As of today, there's a 40% chance of rain with scattered thunderstorms for Saturday.

Hammerheart has some tasty stuff heading up north, very distinct and memorable. Had the chance to try some out a month or so ago, was definitely impressed by their use of smoked malt/wheat.

Just a heads up, Excelsior will be bringing a cask of our Colonial Spruce Beer (which was made for the Craft Brewer's Conference Dogfish/Victory Showcase). Worth getting a taste while you can, only bringing a 5 gal cask. Aged in Rum barrels plus we've added some high ABV rum soaked oak chips provided by a certain brewery in Delaware (rhymes with Shmogshmish Shmead). Come over, grab a taste and say hello!

Drinking a growler of Cold Pressed Bend Paddle right now. I bet the Nitro version will be most excellent!

Steel Toe Barrel Aged Wee Heavy!?!

Coconut Mango Mama is fuckin heavenly. And a Darkness v Roullette showdown could be epic. This lineup is making think about heading up north!
